where would it be?:) we were going to to the castle, but looking at the menu it says it is plated not sure the kids would enjoy it

I would go to DTD and eat at Wolfgang Puck Express. Actually, I think it counts as a QS, not a TS. The breakfast pizza was out of this world! It was large enough that two people could easily share it, but it was so good that DD and I ate almost a whole one each!

Our favorite is Tusker House. We enjoy the food selections; there are many non traditional choices in addition to regular breakfast items.

The characters are just a bonus.

If you are looking for a character experience... 1900 Park Fare is one of our favorites and the characters would be great for girls...

I do not like the Akershus Princess Breakfast quite as much because I don't think that the food is quite as good and it felt more chaotic than 1900, on the other hand it does include a photo as part of the package and you will see many of the princesses!

'Ohana is my favorite BY FAR!
I love that you get a TON of food, but since its family style, you aren't getting cold eggs and things that may have been touched by other folks. ick!

The character experience is also the best I've had. Its a little calmer than some of the other restaurants, but still has all the excitement. There's still a little parade for the kiddos with the characters and such.

I loved the non-traditional options at Tusker House, too, though. But the family style serving at 'Ohana won me over ;)

park fare looks great. Do you know how far it is from Corrando Springs and Magic Kingdom. We would plan breakfast then go right to magic kingdom. Thanks

There are two restaurants for breakfast that will be on my family's must-do list.. 'Ohana and Cape May. Both are character meals and even though there are characters the environment for both meals are way more relaxing than the average character meal.

Now on to the food.. I'll be the first to admit that I am generally not a huge breakfast fan. That being said, I will *happily* eat breakfast at either (or both) locations. As far as 'Ohana is concerned, I truly love that breakfast is served family style and there is no buffet line to deal with. Now seeing is that you are a little leery about the pre-plated breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table, this might not be the best idea for you. But I will say that 'Ohana has some of the best eggs I have had, fresh fruit, Mickey waffles and really tasty pastries. As far as the characters.. Well, I absolutely love Mickey and Pluto and my husband's favorite character is Stitch, while my kids love everyone. :lmao: It's a huge hit with us and is generally our last meal of our trips.

Cape May is a lovely, lovely place for breakfast. Now the only thing I don't really love is that there are only three characters here. I love characters. :) But the interaction with the characters was top notch. We saw Minnie, Donald and Goofy multiple times and Goofy took some extra time with one of my girls and played with her. Too cute! I really love their breakfast buffet. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. I absolutely loved the vegetarian frittata and the asparagus. Yum! There were other not so common breakfast items like quinoa served as well.

If I had to choose between the two, I would vote for 'Ohana. We just really like being at the Poly and the feeling we get when we leave 'Ohana is just so worth the trip.

1900 Park Fare is at the Grand Floridian Resort, which is right next to Magic Kingdom. A very quick monorail ride after breakfast and you are there!

My son loves the LILO and Stitch character breakfast at O'hana, so we go every year. Characters are great, and food is family style, so it's less hectic. My oldest son prefers Crystal Palace because it's in the MK, but after this last trip I was really impressed with Tusker House. Depends on what characters you're interested in, and whether or not you want buffet or family style, park or resort...

My favorite character breakfast is Tusker House, my favorite non-themed breakfast is Wolfgang Puck Express.

For a character breakfast, my choice would be 'Ohana. I love that it is served family style (not a fan of buffet) and the food has always been really good when we've gone - love the juice too!

For non-character I would pick GF Cafe. It's very pretty and relaxing in there. Nice breakfast selection too.

We make sure to do O'hana every trip. Family style service is great. Always happy with the service, the food is delicious, and the stitch juice is the best!

We like Chef Mickey's because it has Mickey & Minnie which my little one loves. I haven't seen another character meal that guarantees both. I'd like to hear if there is one though.

Up to last year I would have said Boma but I wasn't impressed last time we went-the line for the stations snaked halfway across the dining room , and you had no choice but get on the end of it because you couldn't jump in to any of the other stations as it was nose to tail all the way down the line. It was actually busier than CP-at least there, if one station is busy you can go to the others. At Boma it was just 1 REALLY long line-by the time I got halfway up I was juggling 2 different plates of food because I couldn't face eating 1 plate and the getting back in line!

My family loves Ohana AND Crystal Palace.

Ohana seems to be so much more relaxed than so many of the other character breakfasts we have been to. The food is served family-style, as others have posted - so you don't have to worry about missing a character while you get up to get something. DS3 could eat his weight in their mickey waffles. They have really good juice too! Character interaction there is awesome - they just seem to spend a little more time with the kids. I have so many great pictures of the kids with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch. Stitch is so funny, he's always up to something.

Crystal Palace is my favorite way to start an MK day. We like to get an early ADR before park opening - getting pictures on an empty Main Street is a major bonus. We have always had such great service there - juice glasses are never empty. Getting to see Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore together in such a pretty setting is just a "magical" beginning for our day at MK. We enjoy the food, always find it to be hot and plentiful.

If I had to choose between the two I would choose Ohana. Hope you have a great time!!!!

We usually do one or two breakfasts each trip. So far we done Crystal Palace & Tusker House several times, Kona, CRT & Cape May.

So far Cape May is my favorite. Tusker House next & then Crystal Palace.

Next on my list to try is Ohana & Chef Mickey's.

Crystal Palace first thing for the empty Main Street thing already mentioned. Tusker House for Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy all in safari gear plus easy access to Kilimanjaro Safaris at interior rope drop at Harambe. 1900 Park Fare was too frenetic for me though it was very well organized to keep crowd moving.
