... I'd be waking up to a sea day on the Dream right now. I've been comforting myself (or maybe tormenting myself?) for the last couple of days by checking out the Port Canaveral and Port Nassau webcams, reading the weather forecasts, looking at old cruise photos, etc. Yesterday we would have had a cabana on Castaway Cay plus parasailing for me and older DS, and snorkeling with the sting rays for DH and younger DS. Today we had Palo Brunch, spa treatments, and Sports Simulator time scheduled. :( Having another DCL cruise to look forward to would help, but we took the refund on ours; older DS will be leaving for college next summer and we didn't feel like we could reschedule since we don't know a whole lot yet about what our/his calendar will look like.
What are the rest of you doing to make yourselves feel better about missing your cancelled cruises?

I watched the Sailaway Party on my (should have been) embarkation day. My girls all wore their cruise line ears and sang along; it was a little depressing and a lot of fun! More importantly, though, we went to WDW on a (mostly) staycation the next day and that went a long way toward making us feel better.

I hope you’re sailing soon!

Looking at my bank account balance.

Truth!! So much extra from cancellation of our 2020 trips. We are in the process of building a second home in NC that will eventually be our retirement home. Savings from not traveling this year will pay for our fancy home automation system and practically furnish the house. :rotfl2:

You and I are taking two completely different trips! Mine will be a little bit more than my daughters food bill for college this year!

We'd be packing to fly to Orlando on Saturday :(

Instead, we are packing to go on a road trip in the Columbia Kootenays. We've rented a condo in one place and townhouse in the other, both with private hot tubs. We'll hike, cook nice meals and relax as a family. Could be worse!

We are in the opposite boat with our first concierge cruise booked for mid April AND a backup concierge cruise booked for next Oct. :)
We're in the same boat with you :sail: having our first concierge/platinum cruise "scheduled" for January :confused3 and another one in May.

Normally all the pictures I take on our cruise get made into a calendar for the next year. Looks like the calendar for next year will be made up of "best of" photos. It least it will be fun to shift through some of the old ones. Gold to Platinum cruise pending... Hoping for Italy/Greece, praying for at least one cruise, at some point, next year.

If things were different, I would arrive in LA after spending a few days in San Francisco and visiting the Walt Disney family museum.
But things are not different, so I have just printed some health certificates to step on a plane this weekend to go to Berlin for a few days. It's a different thing I am going to cross of my list, but it's one thing less to do in my life ;-)

If things were different I'd be counting down less than 90 days. Now I got over 400 days of counting down. Rescheduled Halloween on the high seas for next year. Decided to have a Disney movie night every night leading up to the cruise. Thanks Disney+

Fingers crosse for you! The only good news is that as long as we transfer to another cruise before PIF we can apply money to another cruise. As you can see by my signature, we will more than likely cruise again soon. :)
