why is it your favorite? Do you prefer Tower, BLT, or Garden Wings? Do you wish anything was different or do you love it as is? I Loved it as a kid, and I want to feel that way again, but I struggle with the pool area being lacking something special. Then again, I have not stayed there in over 25 years. Looking to hear from those who really love the CT.

Well its one of mine. I do any of the monorail resorts and love them all.

I am one of the few that loves the pool area. For one thing it is less crowded so easy to find a chair. I love listening to all the sounds. You can hear people screaming from Astro Orbiter, you can hear the train, woosh the monorail just went by and then the toots of the boats mingle in too.

I love the swaying of the palm trees, a sandy beach, and the round pool is deep in the center and usually a nice warm pool.

I have done a gw room, the hospitality suite, 1 and 2 br at blt, a tower room and tpv cl rooms so really almost all the options. Know what? They all were nice vacations. Its what YOU make of it.

For price the garden wing is a nice option.

I do prefer being in the tower.

For my family with grown kids the villas have nice space yet close to the amenities.

I am doing a few days cl this summer. I got a great rate and its a me and dd23 trip. Mom misses her girl since she moved away last year and we will be at the resort or mk most of our time. I love walking to the park!!!

Have any questions let me know.

Oh I also like the qs there too. Food is always good.

I love the Contemporary. I’ve only ever stayed in the tower, but a first floor gw w/a patio seems like a nice option as well.

I live the ability to walk to MK.

The Wave is a hidden gem. And when waiting for whoever I’m with, I like sitting in the Outer Rim area and people watch the 4th floor.

I haven’t been to every single resort gift shop, but if all the ones I have been to I like Bayview Gifts the best.

While I understand why people may not like CR’s pool, I like it just fine.

I also like all the different water activists (boat rentals, jet skiing, ect) that they have to offer.

And while watching MK fireworks on CG’s deck is very nice. If you don’t do that you can also watch them out on CR’s 4th floor observation deck.

I also like that if I have a bay view room, I can end the night sitting on the balcony and watch the Electorcal Water Pageant (a highly underrated thing to do in my opinion).

Edited to add that I do wish they still had the arcade they had from the 80s-early 90s.

It's been my dream since I was a little girl to stay at the Contemporary. We always stayed in our camper, parked in some grocery store parking lot for free (back when you could get away with that), or MAYBE Mom and Dad would spring for a real campsite somewhere, but never on Disney property. We would ride the monorail through the Contemporary and I would think "Wow, this is living!"

Now I have stayed in almost all the resorts but still not the Contemporary. I doubt it would qualify as my favorite anymore (that has to be the Wilderness Lodge) but it still has a sentimental place in my heart and I'm saving it for last. For a while I'd promised my daughter that we'd stay there if she ever got all As on her report card, but it doesn't look like THAT's going to happen, haha. I have a couple more resorts to try (OKW and SS) and then we will finally stay at the Contemporary. That will be our very last Disney resort stay, since paying for resort parking rubs me the wrong way. The Contemporary will be our Disney "last hurrah."

But sorry, OP, I can't answer your question because I've never stayed there. But I do think it's a very nostalgic resort.

This post makes me so excited for our trip! It's our first time staying at BLT (or the Contemporary).

Well you only missed the Arcade by a few months. As of April 13 it opened as a new nightly experience for children. Children ages 4 to 12 can enjoy a Pixar-packed evening of fun, games and Character encounters at Pixar Play Zone at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This kids-only experience also includes dinner and dessert!

We love the CR for several reasons. One being able to walk back at night when the line for the monorail and boat is way too long. (I have to say when we are not staying at the CR and we are leaving MK and trying to get on a monorail and or boat - I stop and ask myself "Why are we not staying at the CR?"). The walk is wonderful. We also love being on the monorail. The QS is really cook - our kids love it there. We also enjoy The Wave - the food is great and you can get a reservation the day of. We love walking around the shops. It is such a fun resort. We have only stayed in the Tower so I don't know about the Garden Wing.

Oh I love blt. The curved hallways are so fun and have windows so you can see towards the pool area. The elevator area has seating and great views of MK and Seven Seas Lagoon:)

The talking elevator? Yep I love that too!

Oh I’ve been to the one that just closed. It was meh.

I was talking about the massive arcade CR had back in the 80s-early 90s, when it and the QS were still on the 1st floor.

Wow, you have a lot of experience with the CT! I did stay in a GW room on my first trip there, then our second time we did have a Tower MK view facing room. That was amazing. I greatly appreciate your response!

I also loved the arcade - started there in 89 and 90. It was one of the best things about the trip! We hung out with other kids we met on the trip, some really cute "boys" and had some really memorable nights without our parents hovering over us! That arcade really was a highlight of our trip.

It's our favorite! We love it but mainly it's because we fell in love with the club level staff. We love the Tower and only stay there and the pool is fine, because we don't care much for the theme and I think that's why we love the simplicity and clean lines of the Contemporary! My kids have stayed at each resort on property and still love the Contemporary best!

I love it best for the simple reason that we can walk to MK. My husband is an absolute bear in the mornings and soooo miserable, but I like to rope-drop. So we compromise by staying at the Contemporary because I know it won't take more than 10 mins to walk to the park. Sometimes the monorail gets crowded or doesn't work but the path has always been an excellent option for us and the separate security is rarely crowded. We have little kids so I wanted to stay at Pop Century or AoA for the fun theming, but my husband can't stand the idea of getting up an hour earlier than he would have to if we were at the Contemporary

I love the Contemporary because of the monorail. I've loved the monorail since I was a little kid, and would get so excited whenever I'd see it come into the resort. I also just love the classic Disney vibe that the Contemps gives off. It's been my dream to stay there since I was like 6, and we just recently stayed for one night. I felt so happy finally watching the Electrical Water Pageant from the window of my room.

The Polynesian and GF were/ are my favorite but when we stayed at BLT I really fell in love with it too! I actually really like the CR bullseye pool right over the lake better than Poly and GF’s pool I think. It’s so pretty, sunny, and peaceful. My biggest selling points are the theme park views and walk to MK!
