If the airlines cancels your flight.....

We are paying more money for our airfare so we can get convenient flight times. If the airline ends up cancelling our flight and/or changing us to an inconvenient time, and the flight they change us to is cheaper (I would know this because I've been checking prices for months) would we be entitled to a voucher for the difference? ~~

It really depends on the airline, and the person you talk to (kind of like CRO). If they change your flight, and the price is less, call back and ask for the voucher - if the person says no, call back again later. Unfortunately, we have heard six different stories from six different people at Delta - it can be a pain, but if you get some money back, it may be worth it. If the price is not lower, but the times are a pain, they may give you at least a $25 - $50 voucher per passenger for the change (have had this happen with Sun Country). Just ask....it can't hurt.

All the changes in flight times (and rude people at Delta) are causing us to drive instead - so good luck!!!

macs4us thanks for the info. Beverly Lynn we're flying Spirit out of Detroit (husband wants a non-stop, he's not too thrilled with flying). Right now the prices range from $86 to $199 one way depending on what time of day and day of the week you go. ~~

I had booked Delta due to "convenient times", and when they changed to inconvenient times, I cancelled and got a full refund. The change was more than four hours difference from the original landing time from when I booked. Had it been only an hour or so I wouldn't have had a leg to stand on.
