If someone sends you an instant payment though paypal how does it work?

I sold something for the first time on ebay and got a confirmation that someone sent me a payment instantly. So how does it work? Do they send me a check paypal? or do they reflect it in the credit card I have set up with their website? Im sorry if i sound stupid but its my first time.

it wil show a balance for the amt sent minus fees. You can then request a check or use billpay to debit your charge card

I always have it transferred to my bank account. It only takes a couple of days to post to your account and its free.

Yes, the money will show as a balance in your PayPal account. Just transfer it to your checking account. It will be transferred at no cost and very quickly!
