If rain, will there be parades or fireworks?

Next week forecast has quite a bit of rain.

Sorry for this trivial question. But if it has only slight rain, or just a hint of possible rain, will parade(MK and AK) and fireworks (MK and Epcot) be cancelled?

About what time will they announce such cancellations?

The fireworks at mk will still run. It's wind that will have them cancelled.

As for parades, there are different stages of "closing" them down when it comes to rain. AK has a parade right now, and MK has the Move It Shake It Celebrate it Street Party.

Stage 1 is roughly: if it had rained, the ground is wet or is sprinkling slightly, they will take the stilt performers down off stilts and still continue with the parade as per normal.

Sometimes they'll pop the character up on the presents already and do a shortened version of the dance party.

If it is full on raining, they all have little rain coats & boots they throw on & the characters come out in covered cars/vehicles (aka the rainy day cavalcade)

I've seen them get delayed by about 15 mins which is also possible, they'll always make announcments about them as well. Same thing goes for the castle stage show at mk

Our experience has been that the parade and fireworks go on as scheduled if it's a moderate, misty rain. We've even seen fireworks in a driving rain. The Castle-front shows usually do not go on if it's raining. Again, it's just our experience, but we've found that a show cancellation isn't announced until just before time for the event.

Meanwhile, don't stress too much about the forecast. Central Florida rains can come and go quickly (or they can linger for a couple of hours or all day).

Often a predicted "chance of rain" never happens.
