If package price drops, will DLP refund like WDW?

I booked a two night package a few months ago for next September, and just noticed that the current price on the website is about $150.00 less for my dates. Can anyone tell me if DLP will refund the difference as WDW does if prices drop? TIA!

This happened to my cousin. She rang up and as a good will gesture they added the plus meal plan to her booking for free :goodvibes
I don't think you're entitled to anything as such (correct me if I'm wrong on this people!) but I think Disney are very willing to keep their guests happy :)

And if you don't ask, you won't receive! :thumbsup2

no, they won't refund you - but you can, as suggested, change your booking to add a meal plan, pre-bookable dinners etc, so that the price you originally paid now includes these extras :).

We got a refund when the % went from 10% to 20% for us, saved us about £100 odd! :)

As Elaine says as a rule you will not get a refund. Plus the cost of cancelling would need to be considered if re-booking :)

I booked 3 nights last year at the Santa Fe and they brought out a new offer and after phoning twice and emailing, we eventually got an upgrade to the Cheyenne and £38 credit which had to be used for a character meal or similar or we had to pay £13 and lose the credit. We paid £17 extra and used the credit for breakfast at Cafe Mickey.

Just a heads up to tell people as said above, I think it's well worth phoning if this happens, I called as soon as a new offer came out, and spoke to a nice guy who said it was no problem, and within 2 weeks we had a refund of the difference, so i'd say the "rule" seems to be avoidable, depending on who you speak to perhaps?

Thanks, everybody, for sharing your experiences!

I was getting ready to contact DLP, and pulled up the website to verify the information I had seen earlier today, and now the price is $400.00 MORE than my package. :confused3 I will keep checking back, and call right away if I see it change back. When I booked I did feel I had gotten the very best price I had seen since starting to look, so was surprised to see it drop more.

I appreciate the information you've all shared, and look forward to seeing DLP for the first time!!

Does WDW always give you the difference if they release a new (better) offer than you have booked before?

That would be very cool. You cold book now and if they should release another discount or free dining they will give you back the difference?

The prices do vary throughout the day, so you may keep seeing it go up & down
