Magical Express back to the airport? Does the Pop ever allow a late check out?

What are some ideas to do that last day? I wasn't planning on flying that late, but we are using FF miles, so that was the only one available.

They usually pick you up 3 hrs before your flight. We usually go to a character breakfast and then hit a ride or 2 if we have time. We usually have to leave for the airport around noon, so we don't have a whole lot of time. Since you have pretty much a whole day, I'd say do whatever you want, and then sleep on the plane! I don't think you can get a late checkout anywhere, we usuallu leave our bagd for ME and then go enjoy our last few hours. I think most resorts have a shower by the pool if you want to spend the day there and then get ready for the flight home.

We had a 7 pm flight last year and I think we had a 3:45 pm ME. We went to a park (MGM), got back to the resort about 3 so we could get our luggage & made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare! POP does allow late checkouts, but only like noon or 1 pm. However they do have a luggage hold room so we just checked out and had them hold our luggage until ME time. You could also just hang out at the pool, they will let you change in the restrooms out by the pool. HTH! :thumbsup2

We've got the same thing in July. We will have two teenage girls with us so we've decided to have lunch at Rainforest at noon, shop around DD, then have our Ghiradelli sundae before we head to the airport around 4. It's a short trip for us so this will be our chance to hit DD. Since it is so hot in July, hopefully we won't get to sweated up for our flights.

We always fly out on the latest flight I can find. We check out early, store the bags at the resort, and head to a park for the morning. Then we have a really nice early lunch at a TS place, since we aren't good fliers, and don't want to eat a big dinner right before we take off.

We usually do this too, but opt for a regular CS lunch. In the past we've done HDD on our last night but I think this year we'll do something different for a change.

My flight home was changed from 5pm to 7:40pm. Was also wondering what to do on our last day. Our park hopper will be used up by that time and I'll have a 9 year old to entertain for the day. The pool sound great. But If we go shopping, will we be able to get access to our luggage (in storage) to put in our last minute souveniers?

Cleverclovers ... You might want to check into extending your tickets - it is generally only a few dollars ( literally, like $4-5 ) to add on another day if you already have a multi-day day ticket. I like to make sure I have a ticket to cover each day "just in case" ... like suppose that last day your child would love to ride a certain ride one last time, you would have that option. If you don't end up using it its no biggie. Just an idea:goodvibes

You can call Disney Reservations and they can change your ticket for you, or you can wait until you get there and see Guest Relations. :-)

Thank you SO MUCH!!!! I had no idea you could do that. My niece will be very happy to hear about this.

We decided this year to do the family magic tour at the MK on our last day. It starts in the morning and ends a few hours later. We'll go ahead and check out leave our bags with bell services and do the tour, play some more in MK and then head back to the Poly for our ME back to the airport.

It's a tradition for us to spend our last day at Typhoon Lagoon then catch an evening flight home. We are already completely packed so at the end of the day we change at the TL changing rooms, and put our wet bathing suits in a ziplock baggie which we put in an outside pocket of one of the suitcases. Works great for us!

You can extend it if it is less than 10 days. If you already have a 10-day ticket and this is day 11, then no, you can't extend it.

I am doing this same thing although I'm doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour which should end about 1:30 then get back to the hotel around 3pm to catch DME.
