If our airplane departs at 5:35pm what time should we plan to leave

BWV's via ME? I would like to make one last dining reservation before our departure.

Your ME papers will tell you to be at the ME stop at least 3 hours before your flight time. I'd figure on being back to the resort, retrieve your luggage and ready by 2pm as the bus should arrive around 2:30.

I found out the hard way that they may come 10 minutes early and they do not look for you. If you're not at the stop (I was waiting for my luggage at bell services) they will come and go in a blink of an eye.

You should plan to leave whatever time Magical Express tells you the day before is your assigned bus pickup time . With a 5:35 flight, that will be about 2:35, give or take ten minutes. You need to be waiting at the DME stop with all your carry-on (and checked, if flying a non-participating airline) luggage and your entire family fifteen minutes before that, since it's the time the bus leaves - not when it arrives.

So, where do you want to eat? Boardwalk, BC/YC, Epcot: 12:30 - 1 reservation will allow you plenty of time. Okay for DHS, too. Anywhere else, you should be eating by noon, or plan to take a taxi back to BWI

I changed our Coral Reef reservations to 11:40am from 12:55. The later reservations may not allow enough time. Although, I don't think there would be any complaints if we did miss our flight

You'd have to pay for a taxi. Your DME bus could pick you up as early as 2:20. You'll have to be at the bus stop at 2:10-2:15 (assuming you use RAC and don't have anything checked with bell service). That suggests leaving EPCOT at 1:30-1:45. Doable.

Miss your DME bus and you'll probably just pay for a taxi to MCO. I doubt you'll miss your flight.
