In need of some major help and suggestions. Want to travel to Florida 3/20 thru 3/28. Two families that include four adults, two girls (16 yo) and two boys (9 & 13 yo). Dads are not too fond of the crowds at the parks, girls like lounging by the pool/beach for just awhile, but want other things to do. Boys are probably the most flexible. Moms just want everyone to be happy and have a good time!

So, what area of Florida have you traveled to and what is there to do? Anyone find a "diamond in the rough" where maybe it isn't so crowded but plenty to see and do in the area? Thanks so much for sharing. Everyone have a great day!

Universal Studios and their gorgeous hotels sound like a great idea. You would have front of the line access so no real long lines. The parks are very close to the hotel and depending on how comfortable could almost send the children alone. Beautiful pools and lounging areas for the teens and adults.

The citywalk offers alot for the families in the evenings with variety of dining and activities. I would also think it wouldn't be that crowded in March. The seven day passes are relatively inexpensive for Universal also.

Clearwater beach is great. I went there as a kid and it's so beautiful. The sand is so fine and soft. It's nice and quiet too. Seaworld can be fun because it has a really relaxing atmosphere and you don't have to worry about lines. Have fun!

What about a cruise? It's very inexpensive (if you don't do Disney ;) ) and you have a little bit of everything. There are tons of cruises out of Fl and you can do additional beach time near the port before and after.

You beat me to it. i was going to suggest the same thing. There is things to do for everyone of every age. So many cruises leaving out of Florida you would have your choice of how many days you wanted and where you would want to go.

I enjoy Captiva and Sanibel islands.

Amelia Island is also gorgeous and quiet.

My family (who lives in FL) vacations in Seaside every year. Seaside is awesome. :)
