If money was not an issue what activities, tours or special touches would you add to your trip?

Since you're coming from Australia, I'd stop in Hawaii and visit Aulani.

I'd also plan the trip to Disneyland when the Disney cruise ship Wonder will be in California, either before or after she sails to/from Alaska.

Definitely stay at the Grand Californian, and add a visit to Universal Studios and Hollywood as well. If you visit when the t.v. shows are taping, you can get free tickets to be in the audience.

To start off I'd have you take me along to be your personal assistant/guide!

Seriously, I'd start by staying at the Grand Californian. In a room with a view for WOC show.

Dessert seating for Fantasmic.

Disney tours that you'd be interested in.

Variety of Character meals for the kids to enjoy.

Meals that aren't fast food.

Shopping where they ship items to your home.


Away from Disneyland....

SanDiego for a few days to see the Zoo and SeaWorld.

Universal Studios for a day and a drive by for Hollywood.

If it's in the summer months you might consider Magic Mountain. I haven't been there for YEARS, so I don't know much about this one.

Going to Disneyland with out worrying about a budget is fun for sure! We did it once in 2004, when we took our two grown son's and their families. For a total of 7 people. We got two rooms at the GCH and did anything we wanted to do for a week. After Disneyland we went to SanDiego for three days. It was the best multi-family vacation we have ever had.

Just for DLR (I could tack on other stuff but let's keep it small):
* stay GCH, maybe even concierge level
* book tours you are interested in: gardening one, Walk in Walt's Footsteps, holiday ones
* consider VIP service either from Disney itself or an outside agency to run and get FPs, stake out parade locations, etc.
* F! dessert package
* I'd buy some extra suitcases for souvenirs!
* Napa Rose Chef's Counter
* Carthay Circle WOC package
* Blue Bayou lunch or dinner
* definitely invest in photopass +

The biggest for me would be staying on site at either DLH or GC in a suite so we would not be stuck with 2 queen beds for the four of us to share and getting annual passes for us to go to DLR or WDW no matter when we wanted!!

Any or all of the following:

-- private VIP tours
-- dinner at any of the many great restaurants on site Blue Bayou, Napa Rose etc.
-- Fantasmic Dessert Package
-- Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour
-- any or all of the character breakfasts
-- drinks by the pool (you don't get this off site)

I have to wonder though, if money were no object - would it feel the same as you think it would when, for most people, it very much is?

Stay at GCH and rent a cabana for a whole day. We did this mid stay and loved the luxury and rest.

I noticed your children are fairly young, and if your sig has not been updated, I'm surprised people have been mentioning tours left and right since children that young probably wouldn't enjoy those tours. However, if you plan on doing the more adult-oriented tours I would suggest leaving the kids with a babysitter and having a nice day out without them (not sure if Pinocchio's workshop in GCH takes kids that young). If they're a little older, I would suggest doing the Discover the Magic tour, as well as do BBB and get pictures with the princesses. Also, see if you can get the VIP tour service. If you stay at GCH, there's also extra things such as a scavenger hunt and hotel-guest-only Build-a-Bear and Ridemakerz opportunities. Finally, I wouldn't limit yourself to just Disneyland. I would go to SeaWorld, maybe take that cruise to Alaska, stop over in Aulani, etc. The possibilities are endless when you have no limit

Over the past 3 years I've been able to do many, many things I never thought I'd get to do at DLR. I'm still in awe about that. There are still many things I've never done and would love to do if I could afford it (fat chance):

*stay in a signature suite at DLH (I did get to stay in the Fairytale Suite last year but I'd love to stay in one of the big ones!)

*personal tour guide who could take us behind the scenes in places people don't normally get to go

*Any VIP tour

*Fantasmic dessert package

*One of the big suites with the 2-story windows at GCH, or the big villa there!

*Spa services at GCH

*Belong to, and participate in, D23

*Get a premier (premium?) pass...the one that works at WDW too and go to both

Things you can't pay for that I'd love to do:

*Stay in the Dream Suite
*Visit with some of the big wigs
*See how things are done behind the scenes
