If MK is open until 10, how would the crowd be in Fantasyland from 8 to 10 PM?

Thank you for entertaining all my ?'s. We have been to WDW and seen just about everything, so this is going to be more of a resort trip. However, we do plan to do an enight in MK. Plus I'd like to hit Fantasyland for my 6 yr. old (who can stay up late if we are sleeping in a little and relaxing by the pool in the a.m........which is the plan). If the MK closes at 10, would Fantasyland be jammed from around 8 p.m. to closing? This will be the 1st of August. THANKS!!

I'm going to bump this back to page one for you.

we were there in early august last year, and went to fantasyland our first evening there. It was pretty empty, but it was not an e-night, and we managed to ride quite a few rides. I think there might be more people around if it was an e-night.

When we were there in May we found Fantasyland to be almost empty between 2 and 4. I'm figuring it was nap time for most little ones and that was great for us. We only stood in line for Dumbo for 10 minutes I was amazed. Have a great trip!

Thanks! Wow.....10 min. for Dumbo in the afternoon. But, that makes sense since it is nap time. I'm thinking we will do Fantasyland at night....try to go when it's not Spectomagic or e-night.....maybe that will help.

My guess is that it would probably be starting to empty out, as everyone would probably be moving toward Main Street USA and the rest of the parade route to get a spot for SpectroMagic.

Disnee Dad Says......................................If you do fantasyland, the second it opens, you can do every ride in less than an hour.
Doesn't matter what time of year. Ten minutes wait is a great wait for Dumbo, but we waited 15 seconds because the girl had a problem unlocking the gate!

Even if you go to MK on a dreaded Saturday, this plan works, and with a little luck you can do FL, jump on the monorail and get to EPCOT before it opens!

I hope it works because we plan to do the same. We'll do enight, so my youngest is determined to get all of FL in before it closes.

Fantasyland was pretty crowded on my recent (2 weeks ago) trip. We were there around 7:30 pm and the only attraction that was not at least a 30-minute wait was "Small World". I was a little surprised at this. We walked right into just about everything else (Pirates, Country Bears, Haunted Mansion). One of our favorites is Peter Pan, but the line was a 35-minute wait (it usually moves faster than that, I know) and it was extremely muggy. The thought of standing among the masses with no air circulating was not tempting!

We were at MK last Tuesday Night around 7:00. Spectro was at 9:00 and fireworks at 10:00, and e-ride night was 10:00 - 1:00. We went to Pinochios Village Haus to eat first and even though it was not empty, Fantasyland was not crowded by our terms. You could walk on the carousel, dumbo was a 15 minute wait, about 10 minute wait for small world and snow white, and about a 20 minute wait for Peter Pan. Toontown was just about deserted! We always do 2 days at MK always morning until we are dragging. After seeing this we said one morning day and one evening day. We always forget how pretty MK is at night, especailly Fantasyland! Have a great time!:bounce:

I was there on Saturday night with the same gameplan -- and it seems that it was the same schedule as Pluto. The key to making Fantasyland work on a 10pm closing is that with the 9pm Spectro parade it does thin out a bit at night.

At 8pm or so Winnie the Pooh was a 35 minute wait (it was an hour earlier -- according to the Main Street queue board) and it dropped to 15 minutes by 9:30pm. Peter Pan was roughly in sync with Pooh times while Snow White, Small World, Tea cups and Carousel were all literal walk-ons (no more than a five minute wait).

The important thing here is to make sure you time your arrival into Magic Kingdom WELL before the 9pm parade. You can always just hop on the train to get to the Toontown Fair area, but even as we were walking down Main Street by 7:45pm there were already people camping out on Main Street waiting for the parade (I love my kids and their parade-averse ways) and it only gets worse until the parade starts.

The downside to 8pm arrivals is that FastPass will be out of the question, but you shouldn't have a problem hitting the short wait rides in the first hour then saving Pooh and Peter Pan for the final hour (when the crowds are at their thinnest).
