Seven sleeps to go! Eeek!! I've been avidly consulting my preparation list and scoring things off as I go. Have bought thermals of various sorts, pack-away waterproofs, extra memory cards for our camera, oodles of batteries, etc, etc. Have organised airport parking, transfers from/to CDG, registered our bank cards to be used abroad, printed out BBWWS tickets and DLH booking, etc. All I have left to do now is get my hair cut, pick up my contact lenses, get some Euros, book Walts and Blue Lagoon, and pack.

I can't quite believe that our trip is nearly here! Funny to think that if we had gone when we originally intended for w/c 22nd October we'd have been and come back already. I'm going cross-eyed from reading my guide books and thinking about what to do first when we get there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our flights are nicely on time so we arrive in time for Dreams. How fab would that be?!

Thanks to everyone for all your help and advice in organising this trip. Any last-minute tips from seasoned DLP-fans about things that I might have forgotten??

Packed my case as I headed down tonight to Bristol with work tonight. I arrive home on Wednesday night so need to be ready for our Travelodge stay at the airport on Thursday.

I can't quite believe that this time next week I will be in DLP. Or, as my DD would say, actual, proper, in real-life Disneyland!!! Yay!! I've decided that on our first day we'll just go with the flow and be guided by what our DD wants to do rather than racing round like dafties. Looks like a mixed bag weather-wise, but who cares?? It's actual DISNEYLAND!!!!

Ahem. I can't quite concentrate on my work at the moment as I just want to be thinking pixie-dust thoughts.

Am so excited, just have to blurt! Rang the hotel and spoke to a lovely chap - I tried a teensy bit of French, just enough to ask if he would speak English, and he was so lovely, I could hear him smiling at me (if you know what I mean). I explained that the trip is a wee treat to DH and myself as it's part-way between the anniversary of when we met 24 years ago and when we married 6 years ago, plus it's our DD's first trip abroad. He's going to arrange for a wee bit of pixie dust to be in our room for when we arrive.

I tell you, never mind my DD being too excited to sleep - I can see I'm going to up in the wee small hours myself for the next few nights!!!

Is that what Disney does to a person????
