If IOA closes at 6pm what time do the stores close?

What I really want to know is how long can we linger in WWOHP (shopping of course) before we get the boot?

It depends on how busy WWOHP is. Similar to rides, as long as you're in the store by park close, you can still shop. The gift shop at the front of the park, which has limited HP merchandise, stays open at least an hour past closing time.

when we went to IOA 3 weeks ago, all the stores in WWOHP closed at 7 (park closing time when we were there) except honeydukes. the butterbeer/pumpkin juice carts outside started closing down about 5 minutes before 7, counting inventory and such, and wouldn't let me buy anything. they were pretty rigid about not selling me anything..."but i have money! i want to give you money. please take my money" haha

the guy at honeydukes told us they usually stay open after closing to accommodate the folks still in line and getting off of FJ ride. the gift shop at FJ exit, Filch's, stays open too, i believe, until the last person on FJ gets off.

so at least an hour after the park closes you can still shop at honeydukes depending how long the FJ line is at closing time. the honeydukes guy said they've stayed open as late as 9 pm before.

Yup, the first night we were at WWOHP, we entered Honeydukes after closing. We were actually in there awhile looking at everything in Honeydukes and Zonkos (they're connected). Not one TM asking us or hinting to us that the park was already closed! When we were ready to pay, there was a language barrier between the person ahead of us and the TM (plus she was ordering a bunch of sweets) so we end up leaving Hogsmeade about an hour after leaving. We didn't mind at all since we didn't want to leave! lol! On the way out, I also got some gorgeous pictures of Hogsmeade with almost no people in it!
