AND I am in line 30-45 minutes before opening AND I walk purposefully to the Nemo line first thing ...

how much time will be left in my MM for other MM rides?

Will I have time for the Matterhorn?

Which Matterhorn line should I take once I exit Nemo?

Once I've done Nemo and Matterhorn, what should I hit next if there is extra MM time?

I am going in mid-July.

TIA!

We did this last year, and we were able to hit Space Mountain and Buzz before MM was up. I wouldn't even bother with rides like Peter Pan, within 5 minutes of MM they'll have a looooong line! LOL

Do you have kids? How old are they?

Do you have only one MM?

Having done the Nemo stampede, and also done a FL morning on our other MM, I highly recommend giving Nemo a miss and doing FL instead. Sure, they're old fashioned "kiddie" rides, but they are classic Disney. I loved PP. If you have small kids, they will probably enjoy FL better. Also, you could see the Nemo show in the viewing room for the disabled with much less of a wait, instead of waiting for a claustrophobic submarine.

Meh. It's a cute ride. Once was enough; if I'd known what a fuss was involved, I would not have wasted the time.

But that's just my perceptions; whatever you choose to do, I hope you have a great time and enjoy it! :goodvibes

I agree completely. Do the quick line up for Nemo on a non-MM day.

We had 2 MMs when we went (stayed on-site), and used one for FL and one for Nemo. Noting that we went in mid-September, we were in, on, and off Nemo in 30-40 minutes.

Wait...IS Matterhorn actually open for MM?

Anyway, we didn't go back to FL, but did Buzz a couple times.

The rush to Nemo on MM and non-MM days seems much bigger than the rush to FL on regular days, so, even though it's NOT what is generally recommended here (I just have to be different!), if I was given one MM day...I too would go on Nemo on the MM, and just compete with those going to FL on a normal morning.

But like I said, that's not the normally recommended course of action, and you might not have good luck with it. (covering my bum here)

I have two DD's, 6 & 4.

Do you have only one MM?

I have two MM days, and we have been to DLR many times. Our last trip was June 2007 just before Nemo opened. We did not get to ride it and my kids really want to.

We have been the first riders of the day for Peter Pan several times during our DLR career, so I understand how to use a MM to the fullest. :thumbsup2

I will use one MM day for FL and one for Nemo.

I will use our non-MM day (of which we only have one) to get a FP for Splash, ride Autopia and Star Tours, get a FP for Buzz, and then head to DCA to be in line by 9:15 to ride Soarin and TTMM. :cool1:

So, how much time do you think we'll have left in our MM after Nemo and what, if anything, could and should we hit besides Matterhorn?

TIA!

How do you get more than 1 MM? Also do you have to choose Nemo or FL if you only have one? can you not do both?

How do you get more than 1 MM?

I am getting 3 day PH tickets from Getawaytoday and they offer 2 MM's with their tickets.

Also do you have to choose Nemo or FL if you only have one? can you not do both?

You can sort of do both. Both are certainly open during MM, but, for popular rides like Peter Pan and Dumbo, if you are not one of the first people to those rides, your wait time will be long. Fifteen minutes into a MM, Peter Pan can have a 30 minute wait.

So once you get off Nemo, your MM advantage for PP and Dumbo has been eliminated. The FL rides (and some TL) rides are still open, so you can find ones with reasonable lines and do those.

I'm just trying to find experienced people to help me plan what rides I should hit after Nemo.

Well there ya go, Nemo it is! :thumbsup2 I should have just answered the question, huh? Oh, well.

When we did it, we managed to get on the first sub, doing the method you described (though my DH, who is a runner, pretty much sprinted, and saved DD and I a spot). The subs started promptly, and we were done by 35 minutes past opening.

HTH!

We just did Nemo on an MM Sunday. If you are at or near the head of the gates, it's quite possible to get to Nemo without running. It seemed that many people assumed Nemo was in FL and headed in that direction so even though we weren't furthest ahead of the crowds, I had looked at the map and knew where to go. We ended up in the first sub but didn't actually push off first. Getting to, on, and off Nemo took about 30 minutes.

Whether you have time to ride anything other than Nemo depends on whether you make it to the first sub or two. (It takes twenty people per sub) It's a long ride anyway, and it is slow to load. You will use most of your hour.

Howver, it hardly matters. if you then want to ride the matterhorn, you will be joining that queue either in the tail end of MM, or close to it. Given you are going to Nemo anyway, there won't be a quieter time for you to ride the Matterhorn than right then!

We don't bother with Buzz or Sm because we fast pass those, and as an earlier poster noted, Peter Pan's flight will be busy by the time you are off nemo.

So go for nemo, then matterhorn and don"t worry!

Besides the getawaytoday.com tickets, if you stay on site you get as many MMs as are offered during your stay. (a perk that is not advertised and never has been, and CAN change at any time...the onsite hotel staff checking you in will tell you what MMs you'll be there for when you get there)

As wonderful as all the rules are, about what to ride first ect... It's YOUR vacation, and if you want to ride Nemo on an MM then do it! You've got 2 MMs, so you'll be able to hit FL with your other one. Not to mention there are the non-MM days that let you get on those rides just as fast. We didn't even have an MM day last week (AP's staying offsite), and we managed to get it all in (a few times over too)!

We actually rode Nemo on a non-MM day, last week. Did the whole lining up early, and rushing over there like our pants were on fire. It's really tiring, thought I was gonna have a heart attack. LOL I remember thinking "No ride is worth this!" LOL But I do enjoy the ride, it's cute, and if you've never been on it worth the MM IMO.

We went against the crowd last Sunday and did the following for our MM:

Peter Pan
Mr. Toad
Pinocchio
(Snow White wasn't open yet?)
Alice in Wonderland

Then we walked to Nemo -- and guess what!!! There was a 15 minute wait! So we rode on Nemo -- all before MM was over!!!

We did the rest of Fantasyland at night with minimal (5 mins) waits -- Storybookland, Snow White, Carousel, and even Dumbo!

I figured that everyone would run to Nemo, but after a while the line would go down -- and it did! Just one more option for you to use!

For Matterhorn, what do you like better? Bigger drops? I would say get in line at the Tomorrowland side, the one on FL side is not as wild. If you still have time for more rides I say hit some FL rides, mostly Alice and Peter Pan because those lines get huge. Or head over to SM

How do they know? Aren't the # of MMs designated on the park hopper pass? If I gought a package through WDTC don't they mail you the park hoppers? Do the receptionists at GCH give you a MM pass or something? Thanks.... Just want to be as prepared as possible.... not ->

They give you a charge slip, that you'd use to charge things back to your room. It's just a small piece of paper. It has on it the days you'll be staying there onsite. You take that charge paper to the gates, along with your park hoppers, to get in to all the MM days.

Has anyone had experience with getawaytoday? Are they reputable? Do you print the tickets or do they mail them to you?

GetAwayToday has been in business for 18 years and I'm always hearing good things about them on this DISboard.

GAT does not mail you tickets, instead you have to show photo I.D. at a DL ticket booth to get your tickets. If your first park day is a Magic Morning, then you need to be able to pick up the tickets at a ticket booth the day before, because the ticket booths open 30 minutes after MM starts.

HTH :earsboy:

Lots of big fans of GAT on these boards. They are quite reputable. You pick up your tickets at the ticket booths at DL, and you can do that the day before, if you are going in first thing in the morning. They don't mail the tickets to you. All you need is picture i.d., tell them you purchased tickets through GAT, and they give you the tickets there. For this reason, a lot of people love to use them when there's no time left for tickets to get to you by mail-- you can purchase them the day before you go (I think I've heard of people doing it the same day, even) and they are in the system and ready when you get there.
