WHOA! That's a lot of snow! (I mean, around here an inch is a lot, so that looks like a TON!)
HOLY FRIJOLES!!! That is a lot of snow! We don't have that here, just rain, but to be honest I might prefer the snow for a bit, at least it would seem a little brighter outside and less grey and blah.
I'm sorry you cancelled your Cali Grill. :-( But you will have fun no matter what you do! I keep telling myself everytime I stress over my reservations that it's Disney. I could eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches three meals a day there and still be all good.
I felt the same way about Ohana, we loved it, but we have already done it before so we were wanting to try new things this time. The only meal we are going back to a 2nd time is Tusker House. That breakfast was so yummy and you can't beat being in the park at 8am when it opens at 9. I booked our Wishes Dessert Party for the time slot we had Ohana booked in instead. My husband isn't a big dessert eater either. Hey, maybe we could meet and send our hubbies out to the Contemporary to have a beer and we could take our girls up and watch Tinkerbell fly right over our heads before the fireworks while eating cheesecakes. LOL! I keep thinking of diversions for my husband who I can already tell is NOT going to enjoy this trip.

I know this is crazy...and more this weekend? No way. And, by the way, your daughter is beautiful. She has amazing eyes.
At least it looks like you all had some fun. Max does not like the snow at all.![]()
Wow! I don't think I've ever seen that much snow in my life!!
We had a "white" Christmas last year and it was the first I could ever think of. Needless to say, it was mostly melted by noon.![]()
Yikes on the snow dude!!! Glad we don't get that stuff down here!! Even tho it has been a cold winter for us, lots more nights below freezing and stuff than we're used to!!
Yep, put some of the HP ones up, need to finish out that park....since I just did the HP part, I think we're gonna head over to MK this weekend and get some pictures of Toon Town before they shut that down. I'll do up a little something for that LOL I don't go into toon town very often, so it'll be nice to have the memories!![]()
I cannot wait until Spring. It is only Jan. and this winter has been awful. It really seems like Caitlin has been home all month and we're just stuck inside since it is so cold out.
Part of me thinks I should just be happy to be going to Disney and then the other thinks I should take advantage of all the great restaurants there. I really want to go back to Ohana, but I want to try new things. It is so hard to pick.
It was nice going straight to the safari after Tuskerhouse. I think we are going to go back to Boma for breakfast on our AK breakfast. Hopefully we will see some animals there this time. They were in hiding last year when we checked out AKL
I am thinking about booking the dessert party the Sun. we arrive. DH will just have to suffer. Is Wishes at 9 or 10 the night you are going? I want to do it the night it is at 9. I can't believe someone else's DH doesn't like dessert. I really thought mine was the only one.
I am getting a little tired of tired to make this trip enjoyable for DH. I know what I do he won't like it so I am just going to try to do the stuff I really want to do.
Just wondering- What branch of service is your DH in?
I just checked them out and they are great.
I am green with envy! I am stuck here in my mountain of snow and you get to pop on over to MK. We made sure to check out Toon Town last trip since it will most likely be gone when we return. It is a little sad, but I can't wait to see what they are putting in it's spot.
We're Navy.![]()
So far over there you can't see past the construction walls, but you see the crane all the time. I'm excited to hear about the mine roller coaster ride, that will be awesome!!! I've never really spent too much time in toon town, since my son is older, he'd rather have the bigger rides. It's probably been about 4 years since I've even walked thru Mickey and Minnie's house!! So....it's time, before it goes away. Should be awesome weather this weekend, so perfect time!! I wish I could take pictures inside the Snow White ride, cause I would before that goes away too!! LOL It is nice to just pop over....and it does make it difficult planning a trip for first timers, but I think I got it. I don't wanna change a thing, which is weird for me!!! LOL
Wow! That is really a lot of snow. Your dogs are beautiful, BTW. It was 70 degrees here today, we went outside and aimed a fan in your direction to send you a little warm air. Probably wasn't enough.
It is sad that you cancelled Cali Grill, but given your description of how your family eats, it is probably for the best.I think you will all enjoy the Wishes party - if for no other reason than it allows you to see the fireworks without fighting over your piece of the sidewalk!
I have no clue what they're gonna do with those houses. They're kinda boring, to tell ya the truth, just walk thru and such. Some of the things are neat, but we got there at about 10:30 saturday morning, and people were stepping in front of me, and trying to lean in, and it's already hard to hold a camera, but I'm in a flippin wheelchair to boot!! And people are pushing their way in front of me. Uh, can't see thru your butt people!!!!
Catching back up on your PTR. I thought I had subbed back in December, but guess I didn't. And here I thought that everything was quiet in your neck of the woods...boy was I wrong!Your PTR is SUPER busy!
Couple of comments...let's see if I can remember them all, as I've just read through about 10 pages of stuff...
Love the 2 bathing suits Caitlin picked out. Am going to have to check out Justice for my DD's suits this year.
We also love the DxDP for it's flexibility in TS/CS meals. I feel like if we booked regular dining the CS meals just wouldn't get used. Hence why I am currently trying to decide if I want to keep the regular plan or upgrade to DxDP again for my trip.
So excited to see that you booked VWL--Woot!
Wishing you could send some of your snow down here to us in VA...we'd gladly accept! Seems like all the big snows are missing us this year and heading right on up to you. Really wishing I had me some snow days right about now
That's all I can recall at the moment. I'm subbing this time for sure, so I'm looking forward to more updates!
Almost double digits Diane.....Almost. I can't wait, the happy dances have begun.
I saw some pictures on photobucket of the Dessert Party. Their selection was amazing. I was completely sold when I saw they had giant chocolate covered strawberries.
