If I rebook onboard and then transfer to DU....

Ok I got a quote for 12/04 cruise from DU and I also looked it up on DCL.....DU was quite a bit of difference from DCL. I was thinking that DCL would be 10% off that price plus the $200 onboard credit.
So can I rebook onboard and then transfer to DU for the better price and keep the onboard credit? I understand I probably couldn't get the DU rebate that they are having right now.

Thanks!

DCL price $3407.05
DU $2667.05
For 2 adults and a 2 yr old.....cat 6.....

I realize that between now and May the price may change......I am just trying to get the best deal....

I would book with DU right now, then check on the ship on what the price would be with their discount, and rebook with DCL if it is cheaper, it might now be.

We did just what Christinou suggests. We had already booked with DU but when on board the 10% discount plus shipboard credit meant we could get a better deal. Dreams are still handling our reservation so we also kept the rebate from them.

Before we left on our cruise (2/21 Eastern), I got quotes from all the travel companies I could think of. I then rebooked while on board and with the 10% off it came out cheaper than any of the other quotes I received. It was nice to get the $200 shipboard credit too!

After we returned home, I transferred our reservation to DU and also received their $100 rebate. I am doing all I can to make our next cruise as cheap as possible! I know the DU rebates expire on March 31, but they might offer another rebate program when you sail in May.

That is quite a price difference between DCL and DU! I would be tempted to book at that price too. I read a thread awhile ago where I believe a woman had quotes with her from other travel companies when she rebooked onboard and they matched the lower price she was quoted (and she received the $200 shipboard credit!). Maybe you can check into doing something like that so you don't lose that good rate. Good luck!

P.S. Hi Christine!

I'm sorry I am a little confused. Are you all saying that it's best to book with DU and when I am onboard that I could rebook at a better price and recieve onboard credit?

I am sorry I can't clear up your confusion. I booked onboard and then transferred our reservation to DU after we returned home. It does sound like KEH was able to transfer his DU reservation to DCL and then back again. Maybe you can check with DU or DCL and see if this is possible.

KEH - where are you?!?:wave2:
