left on our last night and we need 8 for HDD (2A/2C), will we be able to pay for the kids vs. the adults? We recently added a room-only ressie for one night prior to original and will probably now need to eat breakfast the following a.m., thus making a Donald or Park Faire ressie. This is upsetting the entire dining itinerary that I've spent months preparing :rotfl: Anyone know how this will work? TIA. Brenda

why not pay for breakfast and use the dining plan for the HDD? is that a possibility? :earboy2:

I'm not really sure what you're asking, but I'll try to answer anyway!

Since Disney does not tracking kids versus adult credits at the time of you trip, of course you should be able to pay for the kids and use the credits for the more expensive adult meals. Imagine a server trying to sell you on doing it the other way!

If you are asking about using credits to pay for the extra breakfast, your credits will expire at midnight the night you check out of your package. So, they wouldn't be any good at breakfast the next day.

Hope I helped! Enjoy!

Disney Queen, that sure is a possibility that I've thought of but I'm making plans in the event they insist we use credits vs. cash if we have credits to use (a rumor I've been reading here on the DIS). It seems some people have been having a problem with this so just in case...

Merriwind, we intend to use the four additional credits our first a.m. there. We were originally not going to arrive until after lunch but now we'll be arriving the previous night. While there are no dining credits linked to that room-only ressie, our credits for the existing/remaining ressie for 10 days should be available first thing in the a.m. I think. Would you know?

You'll have to go check in again and get new room keys with your package information on them before you can use your dining plan. You will probably be in the same room, but you won't get your cards with the dining and tickets until the day your package starts. Don't know your plans but you may want to just grab a cs meal in the food court, deal with checking in again and then go to the parks rather than scheduling a buffet in there. It'd probably be cheaper than paying for a child's meal at HDDR.

You'll actually have to pay for your HDD tickets when you pick them up from the front desk - not the night you go to the HDD (unless that is when you pick up from the front desk - but you'll get messages on your phone the entire time reminding you to pick them up). I'm sure you could tell them that you only want to pay for the adults with the dining plan and pay cash/credit for the kids.

As for the checking in - whoever wakes up first can go to the front desk and check in and get your cards and you'll be all set to use the dining plan for breakfast.
