If I love Boma, will I like Jiko?

Ok - I'll be the lone voice of dissent. We love Boma, but not Jiko.

We have dined at Jiko twice, once in 2007 and once in 2009. Both times, we loved the appetizers, but were disappointed in the entrees. We also felt that dinner took WAY too long.

I'm vegetarian, which is supposed to be one of Jiko's strong points, but outside of appetizers, not so much. Both entrees that I had were ok to not very good. In 2009, the plate included beans that were not fully cooked, which the waitress tried to pass off as "al dente". I wouldn't care to eat either entree again. I think my husband liked the first entree he ordered, but last time he ordered THE steak and was not impressed.

Again, the appetizers are REALLY good. Based on the quality of the entrees, though, we will not be returning.

I loved Boma from the first time I ate there, it took me awhile to like Jiko.

You should ... but the OP was going to Jiko because she loves the African flavors at Boma, so she shouldn't. She should order something with African flavors.

:guilty: My bad. I lost track of the original question somewhere along the way :goodvibes
