If I don't like beer, will I like the soup?

I've read a lot of good comments about the LeCellier Cheese Soup made with beer. I don't care for beer or "sharp" cheese but I love milder cheeses & I LOVE soup. Can someone take a guess as to whether I will like it? It seems to be the most popular appetizer. Do you agree?

Not many days left!!! I'm trying to decide on what I'll be ordering at each restaurant! Is that overplanning or what??? Yes!!! I love overplanning!

Well my guess would be based on my aunt's experience. She doesn't like beer but loved the soup. I love beer and loved the soup too! I couldn't really taste the beer, and it wasn't overly sharp to my palette. If you just don't like it, I am betting they would bring you something else.

And there is no such thing as "over planning" a WDW vacation! In fact, to me, planning is part of the vacation and fun! Its my recreation in between trips!

Thanks. I think I'll try it. I'm not a picky eater so I'm guessing that I'll like it. After all, it seems to have a 99.999% favorable review from most folks.

I totally agree about the planning! It's a BIG part of the fun for me and it sure is nice to have a resource like disboards!

I don't care for beer, but I love food cooked with beer. My hubby even cooked bacon in beer once. (Not so good, really.) I really couldn't tell the Cheddar Cheese Soup had beer in it. It was very good. Not 10-on-a-scale-of-1-to-10 good, but very good. Like an 8. But not an overwhelming beer taste.

Cannot stand beer...I find it nasty. Loved the soup, cannot wait to have it again.

I have a recipe book that I bought at WDW. Cooking With Mickey and the Chefs of WDW resort.

The recipe from Chef Gary Patterson, LeCellier Steakhouse does not list beer as an ingredient.

This is one of our favorite WDW foods along with the pretzel bread, yummy!

I did not like the soup..I was so psyched to try it because I had seen such rave reviews, but it did have a VERY distinct beer flavor to it..NOW, it was not that bad when I dipped the bread sticks in it so you might could try that route if it seems too strong!!
