If I book with Dream Unlimited will they "monitor" my reservation for lower prices automatically? Is is something that I should ask for or do they do this anyway as part of their customer service? I think the price is good--I would love to get it lower if possible!

I am reading alot of good things about Dreams and would love to book with them. Also, is the person who gives you a quote the agent that you will be working with? I hope so! I submitted my quote last night, and got a very quick response from John at DU.
Thanks, John!

I have booked a cruise with DU twice now and have dealt with the same person that gave me the quote. And they are very prompt at getting back to you if you have a question or anything else. I sent Tammy at DU an email on evening here and heard back from her at 3a.m. my time. This is super excellent considering the time difference between here and the continental USA.

In fact, in your case I believe (now I could be wrong) that John is on the DIS boards somewhere. Don't hold me to it though.

But rest assured, you'll get excellent and prompt service with DU. At least I always have. BIG A+ to them.

Yes- Dreams will monitor the rates and will be happy to try to apply any discounts should they become available.

Enjoy!

Does DU work on the weekends? I emailed them last week for a price request. I got a reply on Thursday saying I would be hearing from them shortly, and still haven't gotten a price quote. I was trying to find out about 3 different dates to see when we could get the best deal. Could this be causing the delay? I booked through my TA for our last cruise and really wanted to see what DU could come up with this time...thanks to all the great things I heard about them on this board....I'm just wondering what the delay is?

Thanks to everyone who has helped answer goofyfordisney's questions about DU - you are all right on the money!!!

Just for clarification - you may not necessarily be assigned the agent who processed your quote.

JackDis - it is very unusual for you to have to wait so long for a quote or response. Please email me at john@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and I will be happy to look into what's going on.

Thanks
John

Just a question to who ever may know this.....
in May we booked through DU for the first time for our way-too-far-off next cruise (Sept 04) and just put down the deposit. Around 1 month or so later, they started the $100 stateroom credit for DCL bookings. We were told that we did not qualify, due to the fact that our booking was not "new". But, wouldn't that fall under a "discount that could be applied"? Any help or wisdom is appreciated...$100 is $100....and would nearly cover the cost of a cabana massage!

PS...this isn't a complaint...just a question!!:D

Two Foxes--
The shipboard credit was a separate special offer by Dreams. It specifically stated that it was not valid on prior bookings. as it had to be booked on specific dates in order to get the credit.

It is not a discount that could be applied to any cruise. You would have had to cancel and re-book to get that credit--and the rates you have could have increased by re-booking (early booking savings can change at any time.)

Rest assured if the rate for your category on your cruise date goes lower Dreams will automatically apply it for you.

I think DU is great. I emailed my agent when I noticed on the Disney Visa website that if I pay for my cruise in full ( which I had already done), I could get a $100 shipboard credit instead of the $50 one that I already had. I emailed my Dreams agent to ask if she could apply this to my account and was told that it had already been applied. This is great, and means that I don't have to do any monitoring since DU does that for me. This is my first time using Dreams and so far so good. I will definitely use them again.

I had the same thing with the DU onboard credit. My DU agent unbooked and rebooked our cruise and gave us the onboard credit. It was only a few weeks later so that the Early Booking discount we received wasn't affected as the prices were the same.

It wouldn't hurt to ask them about cancelling and rebooking and if your original price would be the same... it seemed like it was something commonly done when it was done for me.

Thanks to everyone for responding to my very "newbie" questions!:D I really appreciate the help!
