If I book a package now, can I apply discounts later?

My husband and I are looking at a December visit. I'd like to book a package now, but I'm wondering what if a promotion or discount becomes available closer to our trip dates.

Can I call Disney and have them apply that discount to the package we've already previously booked?

If the promotion is available for your room type and resort you can. I believe it would be a cancel and re-book situation.

My past few trips, I have booked and then had them apply the current promo when it came out. My reservation number stayed the same they just added the promo in their system. Very easy!

Last time this happened to me, they automatically applied the discount and my final payment amount just decreased.
