If I am an associate on DVC

Yes. Associate Members can make/modify/cancel reservations. You will not have access to any financial information (loans & dues). When you call, they will ask for the membership number, the last four digits of your ssn or a passcode depending on what you have setup to verify who you are.

Yes you can make reservations. You will need your DVC member # on the blue card.

But you don't get the member discount on APs or PAPs unless you live at the same residence as the member and you are their close relative.

I am an associate on my live-in boyfriend's DVC and the only thing I can't do / view is the financial information.

I've never heard this term before..Can someone tell me what "an associate" is??? :confused3

This is what is posted on the member website:
An "Associate" is a person named by the Purchaser or Purchasers who is only authorized to make reservations using the Member's Home Resort Vacation Points. Associates do not receive Member Cards and are not entitled to the benefits and privileges that are available to a Member. In addition, Associates may not access financial information related to Annual Dues and/or loan pertaining to the Membership.

What I need is the opposite of an associate - someone who can access the financials but is not allowed to touch reservations, but could pay the dues, etc. That would be the perfect catagory for my husband! :lmao::lmao: He is NOT a planner, and I wouldn't let him anywhere near our vacation plans, LOL! ...or our bills, or our checking account...on second thought, I wouldn't want him to be able to access the financial part of our DCV membership, either!:rotfl:

I was recently added as an "associate" on the seller's (DVC resale) membership. We did this so that I may make reservations myself. They had points that were going to expire and the deal would not close in time. Does anyone know how long this process takes? My name was entered online on Friday and by Tuesday morning I was still not in the system.

Thanks,
Kirsten

Is the resale in process already? If so, any reservations will be cancelled.
