If hours are added

do they mess with emh ? We are planning on using attending a couple in the mornings but if they add hours will it affect emh?
I would think if they have announced emh they hopefully won’t take them away from their guests on those days just stay open later that evening ?

Last year on my trip AK extended to a 7am EMH from 8am EMH.

If they open earlier in the morning, the EMH is moved one hour earlier. So for an 8am open at MK the EMH becomes 7am-8am.

If they extend morning hours on an AM EMH day then the EMH will be extended to an hour earlier.
Example: If right now MK has EMH from 8am-9am and then a 9am opening if the opening extended to 8am EMH would be 7am-8am.

If it makes you feel any better, they won't open the gates at 6am for a 7am EMH, if that is what you are asking. On a regular 9am open the tapstiles open at 8am to allow guests onto Main Street. I believe if the park opens earlier than 9am that they only let guests in 15 minutes early. You still will want to be there early if you want to rope drop 7DMT. Also be aware that not all rides are open at MK during morning EMH. Just Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, so plan accordingly.
