Where would be a good place to watch the Bills game this Sunday?

I have a friend going and when she told me that was their plan I warned her to get there early. She hadnt thought of it being busy. Now she's looking for a back up plan. I'm thinking one of the resort lounges, but are any in particular good for watching football? Any other restuarants that might have tvs?

When the topic of NFL Sunday and ESPN has popped up before, a few have recommended the All Star Cafe (or whatever the restaurant is over at the sports complex). They say it's not nearly as crowded and the viewing is actually better with more/bigger tvs to watch.

What resort are you staying at?

DH and a bunch of other guys took over the AKL concierge lounge one monday night in january to watch the Pats play. hehehe

But, I'd have to second the All-Star cafe...haven't been there...but have heard it's less crowded then ESPN.

The resort lounges probably won't do you any good. The Bills are playing the Texans, and that game will not be carried on any regular CBS affiliates in Florida. You need to go somewhere with an NFL Sunday Ticket feed.

We recently returned, and ate at both ESPN Club and the All Star Cafe.

If you're just going to watch the game and maybe have snacks, the All Star Cafe would probably be okay. I don't think its that large, and honestly the food is nothing great. The meals we had at ESPN Club were MUCH better.

We won't plan on going back to All Star again; it just wasn't worth the extra effort to get there.

there is a bar at the Yacht Club that is supposed to have sattelite TV. Someone recommended it as the alternative. I am sure there is something at the Swan or Dolphin too - they must have a Sports Bar in one of them.

ESPN is very crowded...people start lining up at 8am to get in on game day. It is wall to wall people, you can barely even walk through.

All Star Cafe at sports complex is excellent and the food is fantastic..much, much better than at espn..lol. We love all star cafe, and yes..the tvs are huge and you won't have a blocked view. Great drinks from bar also. Great service.

The Bills?? Just save some time and chuck it up as a loss :rotfl2: The Pats will win the division hands down once again. The problem with the ESPN club is that if the game is not on the big screen, you will have a bunch of little huddles next to a small screen showing the bills.

I would say the All Star Cafe as well.

This is where we watched a playoff game a couple of years ago when ESPN was too crowded, and it was really convenient because it's easy to walk over there when you see that ESPN is crowded. There were just a few other people there watching the game so it was great. I don't know if they have NFL Sunday Ticket or not though.

ROFL! My friend is a native of MA who moved to Rochester NY and ended up marrying a Bills/Sabers Fan. And even being a woman, she has always been a huge Bruins and Pats fan...lots of rivalry in that marriage. :teeth: But yes, as she told me they have to go watch the Bills (lose), for her DH.

While I am a big fan of ESPN and the food there, I tried getting in there one Sunday last December and it was crazy. Thats why I warned my friend it may not be possible. I guess the All Star Cafe or Yacht Club may be the best options. Unfortuantely, she is staying offsite.

If people are referring to the Crew's Cup at the Yacht Club, there is no satellite and only one tv (but a much better beer selection than ESPN)

All Star Cafe??? Is that at the Wide World of Sports Complex?

If so, is there Disney transportation provided to get there? I'll be down 18-27 Dec staying at vwl and want to see my Saints achieve mediocrity.

Just jumping into say that last year I was there for week 1 of NFL and could have been seated immediately but waited (butonly 10min) to sit near an Eagles TV. We arrived at 1:20pm and watched the rest of the game there and never saw much of a line outside. It was a blast. I am not saying you will be that lucky but ESPN is not worth waiting a few hours just to get in. I would go around noon and go from there. If it is too busy, go to Yacht or take the bus from Boardwalk to DTD.

Hi,

Seriously...try Beef O'Brady's on 192 west of Disney about 2 miles...great little pub NO SMOKING with lots of TVs and great food It is tucked away in a little mall just past Orange Lake resort on the north side or right side. Look for the a mobile home court sign Vista Del Lago..great beer specials and lots of beer choices!

...Also one out on 27 south about 3 miles south of 192 and 2 miles north of I-4...Love this place!!!

Bob P, you rock! I see you are in Eastchester. I am in White Plains. Howdy neighbor! Go JETS!

Can anyone tell me if ESPN or the All Star Cafe participate in the dining plan, and exactly where they are and how to get to them from the All Star Sports?

Thanks!!!!!!

so how do I get to the ALL STAR CAFE from VWL?
Take the bus to the Studios and transfer to the WWOS bus.

The only Disney transportation to the WWOS (where the All Star Cafe is located) is via bus from the Studios. Be sure to ask the bus driver when the last bus departs from the WWOS to go back to the Studios. If you miss it, you'll need to grab a taxi back - which might be a good idea, anyway, LOL!

Best wishes -
