We are heading down to our (seems like) yearly trip over the 4th of July on the 29th of June thrut the 5th. I called MS spoke to a lovely lady who told me the only availability was in studios. We are going with friends and their 2 sons and our 3 sons so this would not do. I could be put on wait list for 2 of the middle days and hope for the best in a 1 bdrm and that is all she could do. HMMMM. Got off the phone called right back, got what sounded like a youngish person who immediately told me she could not only get 1 (1 bdrm) but 2 no problem she would just pull them back (whatever that means) and would i like to be waitlisted for a 2 bdrm? Heck yes! She told me we would be on the list until 30 days b4 the reservation. The next day i got the call from MS saying a 2 bdrm had opened up if we wanted it. Hooray!! So the moral of the story is if you don't get what you want at first don't be afraid to call back and ask someone else.

If this is a pattern this is not good news - it means inconsistent answers, work quality and waste of both DVC's time and our time as well. Not to be incredibly stupid but this sounds like the potential for trouble for service quality, call waiting times and the general service experience.

Thanks

It sounds like those rooms were in the 60 day window and had been released to CRO for cash ressies, so they had to be "pulled back" from CRO and re-entered into MS inventory to be available with points. Probably you got a fairly new MS rep that hasn't had any experience with this procedure, and didn't know that there are two separate inventories. Of course, what this says is that MS needs to re-train some of their reps.
