If all 3 DLR hotels are sold out, will the parks be crowded?

We've already booked off-site for April 24-28, but just out of curiosity I checked DL's website and all three Disney hotels are showing sold out. Does this mean the parks will be crowded?

And more importantly, will they add the fireworks and Fantasmc back to their schedule? :hyper:

There are rooms still available from other sources for that time. Expedia has DH all nights, and GC 2 of the nights. PP is showing full. I didnt check other travel sites, but I'm guessing you would find availability. Its doubtful that they will add them to the schedule. Both shows are very costly to put on. The park hours dont indicate that they are planning big crowds on the weekdays. Sorry.

My best clue has always been - check expedia, if the hotel rooms for the "budget hotels" across the street (like Park Place Inn and MiniSuites) are going for $450 a night ---- get ready for reallllllllly long lines. :rotfl2:

Hmmm, funny that Expedia has rooms when Disney's website does not, Expedia must have a block of rooms. Still, it must be getting rather full.

The BWPPI is sold out, but there seem to still be deals to be had at other off site hotels. I'll have to keep an eye on it! :)

Still keeping my fingers crossed on the fireworks (Fantasmic I could take or leave). I know they are expensive, but DL could at least have them ONCE durring the week for guests that aren't there on weekends...

Don't despair if the Disneyland.com website is saying no rooms. If you call directly, they may be able to get you a room. I don't think they necessarily release all rooms even to their own website. And Expedia as well as Hotwire do purchase blocks of rooms at a time. I definitely agree with another poster. If you see one of the places on Harbor going for big bucks then you know its going to be busy. Another factor is that, all three DLR hotels frequently have convention visitors and Disney VIP's who stay there. I know in October, 2003 the Disneyland Hotel as well as PP were completely sold out. Turns out there was a convention and also managers from Disney Stores around the country were staying there. None of them went to the parks. So the lobby was packed, the elevators were always busy but the pool and parks were fine!

Oh I'm not worried about getting a room (although I would have if I'd found a good rate), we already have ressie's at the Desert Inn. I was just curious! :)

Told ya so!

Now when the Park Vue goes for $600, expect the gates of DCA and DL to be locked at 11 AM. :rotfl2:

Check Park Place Inn and Mini Suites on Expedia for the OP's original dates!!!!
(April 24 -28)

$600 -$767 A NIGHT!!!!!!

Get on comfy walking shoes and take a valium, the park is gonna be over the top busy according to my primary predictors!

IMHO. If all three onsite hotels are booked ,it might be a TAD busy. The park that is.Or it might be a convention. :confused3
