If a room type opens due to cancellation will it crop up on the DCL website?

I'm hoping an interior room opens up for a specific cruise. If one does (it would be due to cancellation) will it show up right away on the website or should I call regularly?
Any advice on getting a room the site shows as unavailable?
(the sailing isn't until May 2017)

If enough rooms in that category are available, cancelled rooms will show up on the website. I believe it does take a little time for it to show up, however. Maybe couple of hours to a day?

If a specific category has a certain percentage of rooms "sold" that category will go GTY. You can book the category, and DCL will assign a room in that category (or higher) at a later date.

Once enough rooms are sold (either directly or via GTY bookings) the category is removed from availability.

I think, since you cruise is so far in the future, you have a pretty decent chance of being able to snag an inside room. Do you have a travel agent? They would be the one who would stalk the DCL website waiting for them to show up. Otherwise, it's on you to do it.

Thank you for the advice, I don't have an agent so I'll keep stalking.
I might also suggest asking on your Cruise Meet thread (if there is one), for anyone holding an inside reservation who's decided to cancel to give you a head's up, so you can coordinate the cancellation/rebooking.

Keep stalking. I just saw my category open up with one room available, and it was previously sold out. Wonder if someone changed their mind because of the room number: 6666? ;-)

It will show up as soon as any cancellation is processed, at any time if the day.

Check website regularly.

Since that stateroom includes the Number of the Beast, would 6668 be The Neighbor of the Beast? :yay:
