Does anyone have any experience in getting Special Ed services in a NH Charter School?
If not (being a specific question ;) ) any help or suggestions would be helpful.
We are at the stage where we are figuring out where and who will provide the services...the charter school or the school in our town.

I don't know about the laws in NH but I can tell you how it works in California. If a parent requests an evaluation, it is done by the child's home school district. If the child qualifies for services and attends a school in the district, the district implements an IEP. If the parents opt to put the child in a charter school (or a private school), the district does not implement an IEP but rather a "service plan." A service plan lists the services the child is qualified to receive and states where and when those services will be provided. Generally, the services are provided by the public school district (the child is brought to one of the public schools to receive them). We have a charter school in our district that does not offer any formal special education services. Those are all provided through the school district.

I teach at a parochial school in New Hampshire and if a child needs to be evaluated at our school, it is up to the town where the child lives to do it, not the town our school is in  I don't know if this applies to a charter school though :confused3
