IE 5.5 or 6.0

i have DSL and notice that sometimes pictures do not show up (i get that annoying "x"....have those with ie 6.0 noticed any speed or improvement in stability of their browser by upping to 6.0??

I think you should upgrade to IE6 regardless. It's only time before you MUST do the upgrade.

I've IE6, and once in a while, I get the X in the picture (esp in this board). When I refresh, the picture comes back. I think it may have to do with the speed of the host server too. Meaning, if the server that hosts the pictures / icons is a slightly slower server, then it may not catch up as well with your speed of your DSL. I dont' think it has much to do with the browser.

IE 6 works best with XP. I had many many problems with it and 98. So much so that I had Netscape running half the time. So if you are running 98 or the like, I would sooner upgrade to the newest Netscape. Try that out and see if you aren't running XP.

I have dial up and use IE 6.0 I find my connections and picture loading to much more stable. I use Windows ME.
