Hello my grandfather recently passed away and my grandmother moved back to PA. So she/they gave me 19 huge binders full of pins to sell and get some money. What are the best resources to start this endeavor. Is there a value book somewhere, a description or group books that tells me what the pins are or the collections.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm fairly new myself but there are a couple of Facebook groups you can utilize as well as a site called pinpics.

Pinpics does not give values. However, on each pin description there are numbers for people who want the pin and people who have spares to trade away. You can get an idea of relative values by comparing the ratio; obviously a pin with 200 people wanting and only five willing to trade has a much higher perceived value than one where the wants and offers are about equal.

So how do you go about selling them? Just come up with a price and list on eBay. Is there an app you could recommend on cataloging them. I'm on the first page of one book and already overwhelmed. Do you know of any fb pages to sell them? Any tips or hints would be greatly appreciated.
