A 20 year old guy wanted to take photos of his SUV on the beach close to the ocean. You can probably guess what happened.

He had a permit to drive on the beach. Eventually a tow-truck arrived and freed the SUV. The 20 year old insisted on driving it away instead of letting it be towed in for service. Car started making weird noises but guy insisted everything was fine, this car is "waterproof."

However based on your thread title, I really expected to see this story: Florida man in critical condition after receiving snake bite on his tongue. Apparently he was attempting to kiss a rattlesnake. Alcohol may have been involved.

I knew a guy in HS that while backing a boat into the water, got out of the car to check on things, and forget to put the car in park. The boat pulled his/parents car into the water. He wasn't our class valedictorian.

LOL. I didn't see that but I grew up on the coast. Trying to beat the ocean = no.
