Has anyone else had any problem with identity theft? We use our debit cards for pretty much everythig so I did not catch the small monthly charges on my account immedicately until I was in overdraft. Yahoo has been billing me for webhosting and small business phone and fax, ringtones has billed for a voice mail service and another computer service and doctors without borders has billed me as well. apparently someone has my debit card number and namr but not my pin, phone or address so they have been signing up for online services since January! I am a wreck. The bank made it sound so hard to resolve. Yahoo was not at all cooperative. They refuse to provide me any information to have this thief arrested wich makes me think they are involved in the theft. The customer service person rfused to provide her name or that of a suervisor and told me that she cannot give me the informationabout a customer because of thier rights! What rights?! They STOLE my information! I am so wicked upset!. I have to head to work but will check back later to see if anyone else has gone through this and how to fix it. Please ,please, please do not bother to write if all you want to do is reprimand me or tell me how I should have been more careful. I am cautious and have only ever used secure well known sites like travelocity and amazon for online purchase.I had a problem on ebay last year and wonder if it could be related to that scam.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. I already closed the card and my yahhoo acct.
