Hi,
We are travelling from Australia in January to take our 3 1/2yo and 21month old to WDW for the first time.
I am looking for somewhere I can get Identification Tags for our kids, on the chance that they may get lost. I have seen some Disney themed ones somewhere and now that I need them, cannot find them. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

I went to Pet Smart where I got 3 dog tags with a special edition Mickey mouse Christmas theme. I put their first names, my cell phone number and my mom's cell phone number and I attached it to their shoes.

I just put what I deemed the necessary information on a slip of paper, laminated it and used a key ring to secure it to the belt loop. In our case it was my cellphone number as they are old enough to remember all else! You could use disney stationary or clip art if you want to make it special for the trip.

Thankyou so much for your help. I like the idea of putting the Disney artwork on the home-made tags. My little princess would love that.

Be careful where you put the ID tag. Make sure some stranger cannot see your child's name and information. Remember some lines at DW are close quarters.

The last thing you want is a potential abductor calling your child by their first name, knowing where they live, where they are staying at WDW, etc.

It's a shame that we have to be so careful, but that's today's world.

That's why I prefer to make my own. IMHO the neon shoe or wrist tags are pretty obvious as to what they are. I use my own tag and laminate it myself and attach a key ring. (I got the idea from a luggage tag so I think you could just use a small one of those). Its easy to attach to a belt loop and tuck away into a pocket. My girls were taught (as they could remember it) our phone number. (Twinkle Twinkle is a great song to start them singing it!). My cell phone number is difficult to remember (even for me) so on vacation the name of the resort, my name and cellphone number go on the tags. I don't put the girls names on the tag.

We play a little game of, what would you do right now if lost while at the mall, park, zoo and of course WDW. Its a good check as to what your kids would be thinking at any point. In the hotel its easy for them to just repeat the rules. Put them into the crowd and have them find a CM, Mommy, Security Guard or whatever you have taught them and they can get confused.

This way our motto is, if lost don't panic, stay close to where you are and "play the game". Then we have steps we have practiced and hopefully they can stay calm and get the help they need.

Now that you can keep your cellphone number from service to service I am going to get a better one, have them memorize it and keep it forever!!

when we went last week, we had 5 small children in our group. The parents stopped off at guest services at the very entrance of each park and picked up little paper identification things. You could write the child's name, your cell number, and where they were staying. My youngest cousin can't speak yet so this was perfect for him. My uncle placed one in his jacket pocket and one to the inside of his vest/coat.
I have to hand it to disney though. while we were there, i saw a women freaking out because she lost her son. 2 min before hand, the cast member standing next to me had already gotten a message over the radio saying that they had found a child and that he was waiting with a CM.
