Hello: Since the election of trump and now the trade war caused by trump, I have decided not to spend my vacation dollars in the USA. Any suggestions where to spend them, other than in Canada? Thanks. Canadian Tom

We just got back from Costa Rica and both my husband and I fell in love with that country! So much so that we are seriously investigating buying an investment property there that we can rent out for most of the year and then stay there when we go back.

If you still want Disney- Tokyo Disney is absolutely amazing. Disneyland Paris has its own charm (and you can combine with another part of Europe). I haven’t been to the others, so no comment there.

Costa Rica is amazing and so accessible! We are planning to visit Canada late this year—Banff and Lake Louise!
Thailand this summer
We also love Scotland, Ireland, and Norway

This does not make sense. Lots of Canadians travel outside the US and edon’t have to transfer in the to go to Europe , Asia, Mexico, Caribbean Australia etc.and transfer in US, we do have direct flights.

I am going to South Korean and Japan ( last few days at Tokyo Disney). Flying direct into Seoul out of Tokyo.

We are going to Mexico in a few weeks. And will probably book another warm holiday for next winter in Punta Cana.

We are also tossing around the idea of Ireland and maybe also include Scottland and the UK. There is soooooooooooo much world to see.

If the primary purpose of traveling somewhere besides the US is due to social issues then I highly recommend Mexico as a show of support to them.

Now back to planning and celebrating our upcoming trips.
My sister is in Cuba right now and due back this upcoming weekend.
They go there every year and she is going to help me plan a week out next year.

2 of my sons are voting for Costa Rica & Mexico.
I've been to Mexico many times and enjoyed it. Hotel XCaret was great.

My youngest niece is currently living (Medical training) in Ireland and wants me to visit next year.

My oldest niece (Nurse) is training in Thailand and would love me to visit.

I am also considering becoming a dual citizen of UK,,,I was born in Canada but my mom was born in England.

One of my sons is also a dual citizen as many of my nieces and nephews.

Pumpkin I'd love to hear about Punta Cana.
