I have made ADR's for WCC on 9/19. It will be DH, DS12, DS4, and myself. We are a ham of a family and love to have a great time at restaurants. I have read about the ketchup, pony races, and the way they throw straws at you.
Question: What other things do they do, and what can we personaly do to make it a great experience.TIA:cheer2:

Tell DS4 to go wash his hands. Then, when he comes back ask him if he washed his hands. Its really funny what happens afterward!!

When you get to the podium tell them you would like to be seated toward the center of the room. You may have to wait extra, but you don't really want the sides and definitely do not want the back.

I've heard that if you drink down your pop(drink) really fast and keep asking them to bring you more, they'll bring you out a HUGE cup and straw...I saw a picture of it on these boards one time.

And I thought the horse race on the wooden horses were so fun (they made me do it last time we went there b/c it was my bday). You even get a "pony express" certificate, which is a major plus for a scrapper like me!

Ask for ketchup!!!! Ask for a LARGE drink.

Yes...do tell your server you are VERY thirsty...wait till you see the size of your glass that comes...If you want the ketchup fun...don't go for lunch...it is apparently the only time they can't do it because most of the lunch dishes come with fries...

Or ask for a little more soda...they will bring you out a glass, a little bigger than a shot glass with the huge straw. :rotfl2:

Sometimes it just depends on who you get for a server. We had one woman who was nice, did a few things (threw straws & cocktail napkins at us), but was otherwise mello.

I've also heard that if you mention you're headed to Universal that gets things going...:lmao:

My advice is do not expect too much. We had a very calm server on our last visit. She only tossed some straws in the middle of the table, and did nothing else beyond bring us our food. Some of the servers are much more into the game than others are, so it's very possible you will have one who is not going to do much even if you try to get them to.

Yeah we went for lunch last year and had the nicest waitress but she did nothing for us... We watched as everything else was being done to everyone around us... I mean our waitress took really good care of us probably one of the best I have ever had but not into the fun stuff...

We had Uncle Dave for lunch in January, and he could tell I was a good sport about things. I ordered the milkshake, but he wouldn't bring me the flavor I wanted. So I kept asking for a certain flavor, and he made me and all the rest of the men in the restaurant stand up around the main dining area and do "I'm a little teapot".

Dave also yelled at me about skipping out on the check when I went to the bathroom.

We were sitting on the edge too (not in the middle part of the room).

Thanks for all the quick and helpful advice. I will definetly do all of them. Anyone have any more?:cheer2:

I just want to reiterate don't go for lunch, because it is more subdued than breakfast and dinner.

Keep asking to refill your drinks...my DH asked for water a couple of times, after the third time, they gave him a HUGE mason jar of water.:rotfl: Also, ask where the bathroom is, it will be funny when you come back. The waitstaff seem to know when a family can handle all the antics or not, so if your family is as much of a "ham" as you say you are, then just beware....:rotfl2: I can't wait to take my FIL and MIL in June, they are hams themselves and love to have a good time, they love to really get into it with the waitresses too. I just hope the CMs pick up on this and really stick it to my FIL, especially, because he LOVES to pick on people, and for them to pick on him back will be priceless...:rotfl:
