In April 2015 (it is a long way off, I know), my family will be traveling to Disney World to celebrate by son’s second birthday. It happens to conveniently coincide with a conference I’m attending in Orlando, so we’re going to take advantage of the opportunity. In addition to me, my wife and our then-four-year-old daughter, we will be traveling with a lot of extended family as well (grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, etc.).

I’d love your ideas about how we can celebrate his birthday. Maybe a special character meal? Something else special at the parks or the resorts? I’m looking for something the two-year-old will love, but also something all the adults with us can enjoy (or maybe at least enjoy through his eyes).

One of the character meals with the classic characters would be a great way to celebrate the day. Mention the birthday and get a cupcake for the birthday boy and if you do a buffet big sister gets a dessert of her choice so no hard feelings there.

I have already seen that the Goofy Candy Company in downtown Disney does a party, not certain all that is involved.

If you think he can make it, the Pirates and Pals Fireworks voyage might also be neat and I think everyone in your party would enjoy it. Reception and pirate happening at the CR before the cruise. Then wishes and a special visit at the end. If he is familiar with Peter Pan or Jake and the Never Land Pirates this might be something to consider.

Thank you! Great ideas! :)
