I'm taking pics of my neice and friends next week before graduation in their cap and gown. Does any one have ideas on any cool pics for outside? Most of the cap and gown pics I have found are taken in the studio. Please post any ideas or pics that you have. TIA :goodvibes

Just gonna give this one a little bump. My wife has her ceremony next week also and I'd love an idea or two....

my experience has been that the last thing kids want on graduation night is formal posed pics, or organization of any kind, they are too excited and nervous..I just let the kids know that I'm there to take pics and they should get any friends they want pics with and let me know, they are very good at setting up fun poses on their own..

here are pics from a HS graduation I shot last year..

:sad:Oh ... how sweet remembering those days! Congratulations! I know you're feeling a little "sad" but the day will be such a happy one (and by that time you'll be so exhausted you'll be ready for it to be done :woohoo:!) Remembering back, almost 10 years now, we did a lot of the traditional ones; the group friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, best friend, family, w/cousins, etc. We're from a small town~small graduating class so we had an opportunity to gather all the band/color guard seniors together for a picture; Godson was the "big man on campus" as far as sports so we gathered his graduating team members (football & baseball) for a group picture ... and, of course, the cheerleaders had to get into another photo! Had him under the goal post in cap/gown holding a football; took my daughters flag and stood her with cap/gown/flag in front of the "Band Section" at the football field. Had other group pictures with gowns held high showing off the shoes (combat boots in some cases!!!); favorite teachers; with the principal one last time (!) :rotfl2:; dance team members doing high kicks; the baby of the extended family (age 3) wearing the cap; graduate in cap/gown climbing a tree! Just have fun with it ... and have that camera ready for the "cap toss" ... a priceless photo. Good luck :thumbsup2! :tink:
