Ideas for toddler birthday celebration?

The last full day of our trip my 2 year old will be turning 3. We will be visiting HS and having lunch at h&v for the disney jr characters. I want to make this day a little more special since it's my dd's birthday! Any ideas of what to do? Is it better to order a cake for lunch or bring one in??

My ds is turning 3 on our trip also. We are going to Chef Mickey's for dinner and I am ordering a small cake, probably with Nemo his current favorite. I'm ordering a Mickey birthday shirt from Etsy for him to wear that day also.
