Nurse Appriciation Week is approaching and I was hoping to get some gift ideas. My DD15 has a 504 designation at school for pretty serious medical condition. The two nurses at her school have taken EXCELENT care of her this year. They truly embody the very best of their profession and I want to show our appreciation. I don't know them very well in any significant personal way but I am trying to think of ideas for a meaningful and appropriate gift.

Think gift card.

Candy store like See's.
Beauty store like Bath and Body, Sephora, Ulta.
Coffee/tea Starbucks/Tevanna.
Bookstore like Barnes and Noble

And then a heartfelt note. The note will mean more to them than the gift.

One year when DD didn't know what to get DH for Father's Day she made a bouquet of paper flowers and put a small amount gift card in each for coffee, fast food, gas, then put them in a vase. It was a nice gift.

That's great, I'm glad. School nursing isn't easy!

These threads often become contentious when someone says they don't like this or they don't like that.

I'd say some flowers, a nice outdoor plant, or chocolate, or a quick serve gift certificate like for coffee would be super. You could also consider something like breakfast or lunch one day. Some gift boutiques or somewhere like The Paper Store have bracelets for around $20 that are really nice, I like to give those myself.

I'm glad your child is doing well and you find the school nurses helpful.
