I am going on a cruise in a year with lots of people.

I was wanting ideas on what others have given as tokens or goodies at a meet? Very few children will be attending the cruise so it will be mostly for adults. I have an idea of what to do for the kids, but ideas there is helpful as well.

One lady is making anklet for all of us.
Another guys is doing t-shirts.

Hi Selena, how about door magnets? Pirate goodies, glow in the dark fun stuff, sailaway mini bubbles or nametags.

They have really cool light-up bottle openers that you can buy online.

I'm sure the list goes on and on. Am looking forward to a lot of suggestions also on this thread. thanks

a mini photo album that you can decorate...so people have a place to put their pix of the meet, or of new dis friends. i was going to do that for our dis meet goodie bags, but couldn't find 20 mini albums...have fun! :flower:

Anyone know what a good website to visit would be?

Heidi where did you find the light up openers?

I like the photo idea....

What about some crazy stir sticks for drinks? I found some that are really cool...

I know on our board "Jenny" is getting us all a complied list of all our meets and attaching them on a suction cup to hang in every room as a reminder of times our Dis buddies are getting together.

Tammy where did you find the stir sticks? What a great idea!!

My DH (MarkRG) does buttons for everyone who wants one on our cruise. Usually has a logo that depicts the crusie, the DIS'ers DIS name and real name.

Here's the one he did for the upcoming Member Cruise. It is a great way for DIS'ers to identify each other. We've done it for the first Member Cruise, Member Homecoming, our 10 day Holiday cruise last year and now this years Member Cruise. We plan on doing it for our Double Scoop cruise next May as well.

I know that pobably sounded like we're heavy drinkers, but one day I was at Peir One and they had Palm Trees, Monkeys, etc.....
Went to the Dollar Store a few days later and guess what I seen????? :rotfl: Joke was on me really cute ones, also went to Target, Wal-Mart...different stores you would never look for something like that. They have all types, if your in a retirement are or nearby on the department stores are geared to these ages....and guess what they love to enjoy life :rotfl2: found lots there and you can pay 4 for $1.00 or up to $2.00 each...shop around and have fun with it!!! :rotfl2: I did :wizard:

I've just won on ebay scented mini highlighters - perfect for highlighting the navigators. Also got some light up pens and glow in the dark bracelets. Cruise isn't until next Oct so will keep my eyes open for other little silly things.

check our orientaltrading.com

They have all sorts of great items. We gave tropical shirt post it notes with matching pens, gummy sharks & skullw/crossbones, beachball and leighs all in a tropical print bag.

We also made a set of postcards for each port we visited for everyone in our group.

We received so much great stuff, magnets, visors with the cruise date printed on, special plastic wine glasses with the date of cruise on it, candy with special wrappers, m&m's with cruise relevant sayings.

Another great idea would be a travel mug (larger size) with the cruise dates printed on it..then people could use them at the free drink stations around the ship.

Found a cool light up/glowing web page full of a bunch of items. Glow
I think this is the website my mom actually ordered off of.

Yep, Orientaltrading.com is a good site. When things are on clearance it is a good deal. They have items for all seasons of the year

Heidi, I tried to get on the letsglownparty.com all day to link it but I get the same thing as you do. Let's hope that my package arrives!

Selena, you can find light up stir sticks at our Dollar Tree. I believe it was 6 for a 1.00.

Can't wait to see what you end up buying. Let me know.

Sandy, I have found champagne bottle holders from oriental (thanks guys but I already knew about this site). I might order those. I also found some kewl fish prize boxes I thought to use for the kids. I am not sure though. I might just do the kids a box and do magnets for everyone else. We have a group of over 28 going.
