Another good product from Crayola is the "Color Wonder" markers. They only develop on the special paper, so there is no mess! They have a lap desk set, about $20, and all the papers and markers store inside. The lap desk was also very useful at snack times on the road!

Great ideas all!! I especially liked the books on tape, so I ran to the library yesterday and they had tons of them for children. I was so excited!! I let my daughter pick out 3 that she would like. The only problem is that now I will have to buy a walkman. Will try to find the $4.95 at Wal-Mart like someone said. Think I will go back to the library tomorrow and check out some CD's for her to listen to. Also, I've seen Playdoh party favors before. They are just small containers of Playdoh. I will pick those up also for the plane, or the room at night. I figure she can't do much damage with me sitting next to her. Also, I kind of enjoy it myself!

My ds can spend ages playing with a roll of masking tape!, it is really handy to always have some with you anyway. He likes to tear it, unwrap it, and we draw funny faces on it and stick it on our fingers as puppets and do puppet shows on the headrest in front!. Also tear up bits and I stick on him some big eyebrows, beard and moustache etc!!, he loves that. Try it!, and good luck
