my three friends and I are trying to plan a girl's weekend together. Maybe a spa or something. Any suggestions, we live in the northeast.

Manis, pedis, facials, massage are definite musts. Hotel a must ... esp. one w/a jacuzzi spa and pool. Maybe find somewhere where you can do something fun ie: horseback riding, jewelry making, pottery class -- if that floats your boat.

Find somewhere w/quaint boutiques for fun shopping. Don't forget to bring some wine and/or champagne and chocolates!

Have a blast!

Well where do you live? Is this a weekend get away or just a one day thing? Staying in the state you live or willing to travel? :moped:

We NEED details before we can help you.. :teeth:

We are willing to travel but not to far. We live in RI.
It would be for a weekend. Leaving on a Friday afternoon/evening, returning Sunday evening.

Thanks for any help!

I was going to suggest a weekend in NYC too. You could catch a show, do some shopping and go to a nice salon or spa for manicures, pedicures and massages!

I def. have to agree w/this one. Can't think of a better girls weekend out! Don't forget to add Sephora, H&M, Bloomingdales and Canal Street to the list!

::yes:: I forgot about Canal Street and ALL those jewelry stores.. :cool1:

I'd say Boston ,lots to do... or a weekend in Maine(Ogunquit or Freeport /Kitterey outlets)We went away almost 9yrs ago to Maine .We stayed in Wells Beach and shopped in Freeport (LL Beans home )and went into Ogunquit for dinner and shopping !!!

the hershey hotel & spa in hershey, pa
poconos, pa
the viking noble hotel, newport, ri
a fun theater & ny experience like others have suggested.

I would check out Bed and Breakfast in your area. The B&B we go to the innkeeper is very helpful in suggesting good shopping and restaurants. If I were to go away for a weekend I would love to scrapbook, shop, eat, have a massage and a manicure.

Hey one of the three of you better let me in on this...I see a little planning was put into motion this past weekend over the healthy breakfast. :smooth:

There is a great spa now at the Cliff house hotel in Ogunquit maine....you'd love the location...RIGHT on the cliffs of the ocean, indoor pool and freeport shopping within an hour.....great restaurants everywhere too.... :teacher:

We've done Girls Weekends away at the Spa at the Hotel Hershey.....it was wonderful! Very laid bacck, though....no nightlife. But there is a very nice restauarant in the hotel.

The Borgata in Atlantic city also has a great spa, good clubs, and nice restaurants. Lots to do just right in the hotel/casino/spa itself.

If you want a spa type weekend in NYC, some of the hotels have spas, too. but doing the shows, shopping, and a spa in one weekend is alot to cram in one weekend in NYC!!!
