I am hosting a brunch this Saturday for our group (only 5) for planning final details. I do plan to serve Mickey pancakes, but would like a couple more "themed" foods. My granddaughter:lovestruc helped me with some cute invitations, but I need decorating, food, and food presentation ideas.
Thanks!

That is the cutest idea! I'm sorry I can't think of anything specific, but maybe some other favorite things from the World? Dole Whip Floats? LOL- I'm sure someone will have better ideas, but I wanted to say what an awesome idea. :)

I like the Dole Whip Float idea. That should be fairly easy to come up with something that tastes very similar!
I'm always so "last minute" with stuff. I should have thought much earlier than now what I would serve instead of traditional brunch items.

Maybe you could get creative with the names of things? For example, instead of "elephant ear" pastries, call them "Dumbo ears"? Also, check out the Disney recipe boards here on the DIS. You could make foods like from the parks and resorts -- I'm thinking Tonga Toast! -- and label them with a fun label. Kroger has Mickey-shaped food like chicken nuggets, too. That's easy enough!

Sounds like a lot of fun! :thumbsup2

It depends on who is attending your brunch. If they have been to the parks before, then trying to find receipes for their favorite treats (like Dole Whips) makes sense (our personal favorite is the PB&J Milkshake from 50's Prime Time - OMG!!!!). Mickey pancakes, Mickey-head Ice Cream Sandwiches, Gigantic Turkey Legs, churros, etc.

If they've never been to WDW, they won't get the food references, so I'd play it safe and just keep the Mickey references to stuff you can make easily/buy commercially.

I didn't know there was a Disney Recipe Board. Where? How to find?

Have you read the Disney Family Theme Night thread? There are SOOO many fabulous ideas in there. The first post has an index, and you can find tons of ideas on a themed meal, activities, decorations, etc. Post in the thread if you don't find what you are looking for and I bet people will help you!
