Hi everyone!! I was hoping that all my pals here on the DIS could help me out. I'm taking an Introduction to the Internet course at school and our final assignment is to create a web page. It counts for 40% of our grade. I can't come up with any good ideas!! I really want the web page to be Disney related, however I don't know much about the parks since I've never visited them. My favorite movie is Lilo and Stitch and I was kind of thinking of making a web page devoted to that, but I don't know where to start or what kind of things to incorporate the page with. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks :D

I would start with a index page with pictures and links telling the name of the site and indruction. May sure have all disclaimers with movies, TV shows, license shows.

If looking for examples of a simple web site design PM me I will be more glad to help come with ideas and help you get start. Take a look at the link at the end of the message it leads to my website.

I would do a links page list several links to relate sites.

This how setup my site I have index page with a graphics banner and big picture of voltron and list of links leading to meat of the website.

Examples I have Updates, Voltron fanfics, Character Bios, Guest Author fanfics, Voltron Links, Voltron Picture Gallery, email link.

On the different pages I have related to voltron on each page.

P.S. some the links don't work. Pay to much attention to that because I am redesign the site.

Also a another good tip is to sketch your site on a paper. I have some really good HTML links if PM me.

I hope that helps.

BizyBea,
I'm a web developer by trade. I think the most important things about a personal web site are the pictures and the story. When I have a bunch of pictures I want to post I lay them out in front of me and try to develop a story around them. Starting from scratch with no pictures is going to be rather difficult. Do you have a scrap book or picture albums? Why don't you go through them and put something together based on stuff that you already have? Take a look at the pictures that you have and try to put together a theme that would naturally take you from one to the next whether Disney related or not.

Good luck and post your web page address when you are done. I'd love to see it.

PS: you just made me think to check my signature links - none of them worked, so I have fixed them now.

Thank you for your quick and informative responses!
