Background: my DH and I are taking my Dsis and her two kids to Disney Nov. 30-Dec. 6. After we booked that trip, we found out my DH had to go to Orlando for business Nov. 14-17. Well, I wasn't going to let him go to Orlando without me, so I am flying down at the end of his training and we are booked for a quick trip Nov. 17-23 (yes we are crazy!).

I thought it would be fun to send my niece (age 4) and nephew (age 6) a package from Mickey while we are on the first trip. I am going to bring down a letter from Mickey that I will print at home, saying he can't wait to see them etc. and then mail the package from Orlando so it will have the postmark. I want to get all the items for the package at Downtown Disney, since I am planning to go there while my DH finishes up his work. So, my questions are:

Is there a place to purchase mouse ears and have them embroidered at Downtown Disney?
Is there a place to mail packages at Downtown Disney?
Does anyone have any tips on something unique or fun to pick up for the package? Dniece is into the princesses (of course!). Dnephew LOVES star wars.

Only restrictions are no sugar (turns dnephew into a raging maniac), nothing from home (I am traveling light), and my budget is $100.

Thanks!

I had a friend who went down earlier this year to pick up autograph books, Mickey fat pens and name tags for my daughter and 2 nieces. My girlfriend also bought the Mickey ears, princess style, for them as well. She would only let me pay for the books/pens/tags, not the hats and it came to $50, approx. But if you divide that by three, it only comes out to $19 per child.

I know there are posters on the board that are reluctant to have their child wearing name tags, but my friend swears by them. Her sons and nieces wear them and the Disney cast members pay extra attention to them, calling them by name, picking them out of crowds.

The items are like a basic survival kit for Disney touring, you can't go wrong!

I'm sure DTD has a place to buy Mickey Ears and get them embroidered. I believe it's a small hallway somewhere between Team Mickey and another store. It sells shirts that you can have personalized and coffee mugs and stuff like that.

I'm not sure about mailing packages from DTD. Ask some CMs there. I'm sure they'll know.

If you go into the park, buy an autograph book and look for princesses. Then you can ask them to personalize their messages. Such as Dear _____, can't wait to see you when you come down to WDW. Sincerely ______. I'm sure if you ask, they'll do it. The characters are very accomidating.

For you Dnephew, MGM has a Star Wars ride that has a gift shop. There would probably be something there. Unfortunetly, no characters to sign autographs for him.

Have fun down there!
