Ideas for a one day trip this week?

We will be making a quick trip to the world this Friday. We will be visiting our favorite restaurant (oddly enough, Trails End Buffeteria) that night. Probably arriving in the world around 2:30 PM (we live somewhat local) and visiting the parks for a bit and then having dinner at Trails End and hitting up one of the parks for their show at the end of the night. We've done all the parks several times so we are not overly concerned about seeing attractions, but is there anything going on that day that might be neat to see? What are the crowds like right now and if we arrive around 2:30 PM and have some time to kill in the parks, where is best to go?

I know POTC is doing a soft openeing, but I believe thats not till Saturday so any other suggestions would be appreciated. We might try to catch illuminations. Wishes we've seen a bunch of times but only seen illuminations once. Also how does fantasmic compare? We've never seen that one.

I don't have any suggestions. If I only had one day, I'd try to do everything. That's only cause I'm a Disney freak. Have fun no matter what you do!!

Considering we'll be arriving around 3 PM, which park makes the most sense to go to? I'm assuming most of the big rides will already be out of fast passes for the day? If so maybe we are better off just going to a park and seeing the smaller rides?
