Ideas for a honeymoon trip!?

Hi everyone,

Me and my Fiancée will be heading to DLP for the fourth time this year, but this time for our honeymoon as we are getting married in October!

We are looking to go from 2nd to 7th of November, as we have found a deal for 5 nights 6 days in NPB for £1075. This works out 70 pounds more than 4 nights in HNY, so we are thinking of going for this, and just hoping that a good amount of the refurbishment has been completed.

My question is, is there anything I can arrange to make the trip more special due to the occasion? I'm guessing that trying to blag an upgrade from Disney is unlikely? If I book online, is there any way of making a request? Also, just general ideas on what else I could do to make the trip extra special!

Thanks very much :-)

email the hotel a week before you go and I'm sure you'll get some pixie dust.
dinner at California grill would be a nice treat. they do a 'dreams' package which would be fab but I think it's around €200 each.

I think you should make the booking over the phone and excitedly spill the beans to the CM! Explain you're hoping the renovations will be nearly completed as it's your favourite hotel (even if its not!) and you're so looking forward to it! Who could resist adding a bit of Pixie Dust then ;)

Sorry to thread hijack but is this something you'd have to book or do you just walk in at the time? Is it as insanely expensive as breakfast in the hotel?

We paid €8.50 each for 3 Mickey waffles, cream, jam and nutella. I have some photos of the waffles and other Cafe Fantasia teatime offerings - I'll be adding them to my trip report in the next few days.

Same - you have to buy drinks on top of that. SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE on here over the last week has posted pictures of the full cocktail and cake menu from DLH!!! I can't blinking find it though! lol

We just walked in - at 3pm we were the only ones in there to start with!

We didn't buy drinks, we weren't thirsty. I think the menu was posted in the cocktails review thread. I think we went around 2.30pm on the 19th.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Did ask when attempting to book NPB for a refurbished room as it was a special occasion, but they weren't able to provide this as they apparently have no idea what rooms will be available then. Therefore, instead of risking getting an old room and not having the pool open we had a further look around an managed to find a Montana room at the Sequoia on the Walt Disney Travel Company website! They only had Golden Forest rooms on the DLP site which were out of our price range, so this worked out great!

Also managed to get Eurostar Premier on the way over for only 20 quid more combined! Will contact the hotel closer to the date and try and lobby for an upgrade/pixie dust if I can!

Thanks very much everyone for the suggestions, will look into them! :-)
