Hi, everyone!

We're on the hunt for a table service meal that truly is fun for adults and our DD, who will be 9 when we go back.

On the two previous trips with her, we've done quite a few of the character dinners (Crystal Palace, the Land, Chef Mickey's, the princess meal in Norway, 1900 Park Fare, and O'Hana. O'Hana was for breakfast. We didn't care for the food there, but we've been told that we should go for the Luau instead. That's already on the itinerary.)

DD is fun and adventuresome, so she would be up for anything different, whether it be another character meal or something with non-"character" dining entertainment.

I've heard folks mention Biergarten and Marakesh, but I was wondering what you all would suggest.

TIA!
Cathy

Another vote for Whispering Canyon!

50's Prime Time Cafe is also supposed to be entertaining, similar to WCC.

Sci-Fi Dine in Theater (though simpler food--burgers and fries, shakes, onion rings) is also fun because you sit in "cars" and there's a big screen with clips of old sci-fi movies playing.

The aquarium is beautiful at Coral Reef, but your dd may be a little old to be impressed by that.

Cool! Thanks for all the responses thus far. I looked up the menu, too, and it seems like food the three of us can agreen on. Whispering Canyon Cafe just might be on our ressies. :)

We liked the '50s Prime Time Cafe. We did that our first trip before having DD, and we took DD on her first trip. :) We did Sci Fi our last trip and it kinda bombed. We just couldn't get those ribs down. LOL! Oh, why didn't I listen to everyone here who said to stick to the burgers? :rotfl2:

We love Whispering Canyon. While, not as many antics as there used to be (I've got pictures that are priceless of DH and the kids (AND ME) in funny hats, with straws sticking out of them and everything.

The waiters will throw straws and napkins all over the place. Ask for some ketchup - or drop a fork and ask for a new one. DD got a huge fork (wooden) once.

I also asked for more tea and got a tiny wincy cup and my DH and DD/DS got HUGE Glasses.

We ate at WCC for the first time in Dec and it was MIL's Bday while we were there we went for lunch and our waitress made my MIL ride around the room on the little wooden stick ponies, that they have for the kids, and sing happy birthday to herself.:rotfl2: My DD6 loved it and has to tell everyone about it and show them the pics, what a day to forget the video camera. My dd also enjoys marrakesh because of the belly dancer. I enjoyed eating at Biergarten in Aug but my mom didn't care for alot of the food the majority of the food is prepared in vinegar.

WCC only does the ketchup at breakfast now (that is what our waitress told us) we were there for lunch and I would recommend a dinner or breakfast ressie for the most and best entertainment. When we first arrive there was hardly anyone there and by the time we were leaving it pick up a little as more people came in. Hope this helps. By the way we had the skillet it was good.
