we will be going on our first cruise in March... I was wondering what all I should pack and/or need for my 3 yr old son....
Thanks!

In addition to standard packing (clothes, swimwear, diapers/pull ups, toiletries,) I'd recommend taking some prepackaged snacks like goldfish or gummies just so you know you have what he likes easily accessible. Generic meds like children's ibuprofen. Sunscreen for you all and hats. Any loveys or comfort objects. A costume for pirate night. Glow jewelry for pirate night. Some toys for the state room (stickers, cheap Legos that you don't mind losing, that kind of thing.) A cup with a straw lid or flip top bottle to keep full of water or juice.

Remember that only potty trained kids are allowed in the pools. No swim diapers allowed.

Thank you!! He is potty trained, but can not swim fully be himself without arm floats. Do they have them or should I pack some?

Only coast guard approved floatation devices are allowed. Puddle jumpers are a common variety. The ship provides life vests both on board and at Castaway, so the only time you'd need to supply your own would be an excursion.

Which ship are you on? All ships but the Wonder have great splash areas for kids too.

Arm floats are not allowed. Personal flotation devices you bring yourself must be Coast Guard approved ones. They do have life vests poolside for use:

I believe it's just very small especially compared to the new ships. I haven't been on the Wonder yet.

As long as there is a little one. Lol. I also have a 1 yr old who won't be allowed in the pool. Thanks for the tips!
